Well, I guess soon people will stop asking "why doesn't Disney+ carry MTM and MFS?" Or they'll have a more legitimate reason to ask the longer they wait to do so.

It's been announced that Disney has bought Sony, which means they own the rights to The Muppets Take Manhattan, Muppets from Space, and Kermit's Swamp Years - as well as the distribution rights to Labyrinth, Buddy, and The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland (and all those Sony-distributed Marvel films).

I had originally planned on just saying Disney bought MTM, MFS, and KSY. In fact I had toyed with this April fools post since I had become a member of the forum.
