April Fools: Diamond Select Toys producing Sesame Street figures

Diamond Select Toys has just announced that it has purchased the rights from Sesame Workshop after the success of the Muppet line, to produce action figure line with the cast of Sesame Street. An anonymous spokesman said that classic & main characters will be in the line and that figures will be like Palisades only better.

Series 1-5 of all line have been announced, and here are the line-ups:

Series 1

I knew this would be what it was. I considered doing an April Fools announcement for series 3 of the Muppets figure and Mini Mates lines (if I was a member during the heyday of the Palisades figures I would have done a Palisades announcement for April Fools Day).

I read the headline, said, "WHAT?!?" outloud, barely clicked the post when my wife said, "don't believe anything, it's April Fools."
