It's a great 1985 cult science fiction horror comedy with Jeffery Combs from Star Trek Deep Space 9 and Voyager as a medical student who has a serum on bringing the dead back to life then studying brain death, but when he murders his teacher with a shovel, he brings him back to life and the teacher whom is now a talking smart zombie wants the serum to bring the dead back to life as well.

It's a very gory, hilarious and sick comedy with a major cult following, it's somewhere a cross between "Evil Dead" and "Frankenstein" with just a touch of H.P. Lovecraft, i recommend this movie but not for the faint hearted.
