I was recently looking at Muppet Wiki, and looked in a list of Sesame Street Anniversaries, listing various tie-ins to Sesame Street anniversaries, and the only thing listed for the 20th anniversary was Sesame Street: 20 and Still Counting. I think I have also seen a publicity photo promoting the 20th anniversary, but aside from these, were there any other things promoting the anniversaries, such as news articles or a toy line or something?

The 25th, 30th, and 35th anniversary all had tons of promitional tie-ins to the anniversary, but the 20th anniversary only had a special (though it is on eof the best Sesame Street anniversary specials). Heck, the tenth anniversary had more anniversary stuff. I'm not too sure how much the special A Walking Tour of Sesame Street with James Earl Jones qualifies as an anniversary special (I haven't seen t but I have a feeling that it's more of a documentary). It's also sad that it seems like there weren;t any anniversary specials/ merchandise for the fifth and fifteenth seasons (or for any numbers that are not multiples of five).

Yeah I just watched the 10th anniversary on YouTube and found it to be quite boring as well. I remember the 20th anniversary being a big deal at the time. I had a poster for it with all the characters on it, possibly from my local PBS station? I really don't remember it all that well.
