Can anyone direct me where I can go to purchase a full bolt of antron? With GA Stage hit or miss with supplies I'd like to just go ahead and invest in a bolt.

Any information is appreciated.

It is of course a good idea to double check, but I doubt you'll be able to secure Antron that way any faster than through Georgia Stage. The mill can't produce enough for them and they are presumably the largest customer, so I would imagine a smaller customer with a later order will have to wait even longer.

I ordered a single bolt from the mill and it arrived yesterday. So I'm pretty much rollin' in it.

I guess the mill separated out my bolt and gave GA Stage a truncated order?

Really? That's great news. How many yards do they have in a bolt?

Could you PM me the supplier information or put it on here? I'd love to order it directly?

I'll second that request for more info. I think many here might be interested in another supplier. So I for sure would appreciate any pricing/ordering info you might be willing to share.

The bolt I got says it has 51 yards on it. I don't know if that's standard. When I spoke to the guy at the mill, he told me the bolt would have 40 yards on it... so score!

I don't have the address with me, but the mill is Hampshire Textiles in Laconia, NH. You should be able to look it up in Google.

When I ordered, the fellow there told me to simply cut him a check for $600 and send it along. The bolt was $500 and the shipping would be in the area of $100 so if it came up substantially less than that, he'd refund me on shipping remainder. I haven't heard from him, so I assume its probably a wash.

It came in a huge roll, about 1.5 feet in diameter and 60 inches long, wrapped in industrial plastic. No box. I haven't had the space to unwrap it yet to ascertain whether or not it got any smudges through torn plastic in shipping. Not that it matters... I assume this is the standard method of shipping.

Now I just have to clear up my schedule in order to get the puppets built that I owe John Kovalic! Yoiks!

Let us know the quality of the bolt -- I've heard from puppet builder firends that the quality of Antron has been varied lately. Some of the stuff he's gotten has been unusable.

I'll let you know. I don't have much choice at this point... I either use it or I don't. I got a job to complete. And I can't afford buying any more.

So cross your fingers... and hope its not a bumpy ride!
