This was most probably the hour-long Sesame Street special titled Please Don't Eat the Pictures where the entire gang gets locked in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City overnight. The subplot features Big Bird and Snuffy helping an Egyptian prince solve a riddle and his judgment before Osiris so that the prince can ascend to the heavens and join his parents. Hope this helps.
