[MUSIC: the "Alphaquest" theme plays, as a nameless GIRL searches the hallway for a new lettered door. A door marked "c" glows in the end, and the Girl opens it...]

[The GIRL finds herself in a living room, with one corner dominated by a large couch; the couch is overstuffed and upholstered with rainbow-colored patchwork.]

GIRL: That couch in the corner looks so colorful...

[she approaches to touch it]

GIRL: And the cushions feel comfortable too. Think I'll curl up...

[SFX: a pet door opens into the room, and a calico cat enters.]

GIRL: Awww, how cute! A cat...come here, cat, let's cuddle!

[The CAT purrs and walks closer to the couch, then hops into the GIRL's lap. She pets the CAT for a moment without speaking, until..]

CAT [still in a purring tone]: Ccccooozzzzyyyy...

GIRL: Curiouser and curiouser... [as a lower-case "c" appears overhead] ... C!
