that's the song where he tells the story about him walking his dog who chases cat up a tree etc. last night i heard the song on MC radio witch was off of 1 of the SS albums. can't remember witch 1 but that version really sounded bad compare to the TV version.

The original TV song was recorded in 1973 I believe and the album version is from four years later in 1977 (on the album "What Time Is It On Sesame Street?"). There are some awkward key changes in the record version. That is probably what you heard.

I have been meaning to actually replace the LP version with the TV one. Thanks for the post. I will try to get that done today.

i kind of figured that out. i owned the 1st SS album which was the only one i ever had and noticed the same thing. the version of J Jump joyfull that was put on the album was awfull.
