I believe it's not the growing, it's the way people treat the mind itself. but im not a scientist so who knows....

Thats true, who knows. But it coming out of it's very early stages in life, and is still physically incapable of handling some things.

If you look in part three, it give you a little bit of the reason why.

As the brain begins teeming with hormones, the prefrontal cortex, the center of *reasoning and impulse control*, is still a work in progress. For the first time, scientists can offer an explanation for what parents already know -- adolescence is a time of roiling emotions, and *poor judgment*.
Not to put any teenagers down or anything, it's just a part of life. We've all been like that before. So I'm not judging

But I think that's true whit anyboby's head. I fyou treat a person one way long enough, they will start to believe it and act that way. Although I can't tell you the sicentific explination for that.
