For those of you who are looking, Abby Cadabby merchandise has finally poofed into stores. I have seen numerous items at Carlton Cards, including Backpacks and A plush.

There is also an Elmo card game set that includes a Memory game, and she is pictured on the cover.

What do you mean finally? They're really overusing that character like they did with Elmo. If I were Big Bird, I'd really be POd.

Not really. If they did, then 8 out of 10 street scenes would revolve around her, 8 out of 10 additional sketches and inserts would be revolved around her, her face would be plastered all over every single new Sesame Street VHS, DVD, book, magazine, etc, not to mention she'd have her own 15 minute mini-series called "Abby's World".

She is a new character, and she is in the midst of a "new Character" blitz. besides, the Abby stuff is all girl's products. There will always be a bigger market for girl's products. I don't know why. Just walk trhough a Target or TRU, and the girl's toy section will always be much larger than the boy toy ghetto.

Plus I posted this a while ago when I first saw the products arrive.

I bought my 1 year old daughter the Gund plush and it has quickly become her favorite toy. She even sleeps with it at night.

I'm seriously considering picking it up even if it's over $20. I love the way they did her face and I think she'd look great with my plush collection next to my old Kermit. Gund really knows how to make the characters look right, their Grover is beautiful!

I tried to post this earlier, but My computer screwed up, so it didn't happen.

Anyway, there are now 3 Puzzles featuring her likeness.

2 are traditional cardboard piece puzzles from Milton Bradley...

1) Abby with the rest of the Cast (including Snuffy) standing outside of 123 Sesame Street

2) Abby, Elmo and Zoe having a picnic

and one wooden board puzzle featuring Abby flying around.
