A Muppet (or Other) Collection Query

Here is a question for those of you with fairly extensive Muppet Collections (especially those whose collections include unusual items). – You might also want to apply this to other similar collections. Given that adults (of any age) are often told one ought to make a will, I thought this worthy of a serious discussion.
If you were writing your will what would you specify your executors do with your ‘Muppet’ (or similar) collection. Would you have your collection left to be sold? Would you have it left to a specific institution (such as a museum or college). And would the fact the institutions themselves these days are known to break up collections left to them (keeping only the bits they really want, selling off the rest) affect your decision?
