SNARL (Jim Henson): hi there, today I'm going to talk to you about opposites. now opposites are things that are different from each other like hot and cold or big and small. we shall demonstrate.

(A Lavender Monster joins in)

LAVENDER AM MONSTER (Jerry Nelson): okay I will bring in two balls.

(He brings in a baseball and a Ping-Pong Ball)

LAVENDER AM MONSTER: okay now this ping pong ball is small and this baseball is big.

SNARL: that's right one example of opposites is big and Small.

(Gloat from The Great Santa Claus Switch Joins In)

GLOAT(Carol Spinney): I will Bring in two rectangles.

(Gloat Brings in two rectangles)

GLOAT: Now that rectangle is Long while the other one is short.

SNARL: great, another example, Long and Short, now for the final test.

(Grover joins in)

GROVER: I know I'll bring in two meals.

SNARL: What do you mean? This is a lecture not snacktime.

(Grover Brings in A bowl of Soup and a Ice Cream Cone)

GROVER: you see this soup is hot and this Ice Cream is Cold.

SNARL: I see, another good example, Hot and Cold. that concludes our demonstration.
