A Construction Question

Are the inside of muppets hollow? or are they stuffed with stuffing. What I mean to say is are they cut out of 1inch foam and then put together useing darts and are thus hollow, or are they carved out of blocks of foam and a space is just vut out big enough for the puppeteers hand?

both methods are valid, all depends on what you want the outside to look like, form and function go hand in hand,

same for heads, and arms and legs, some are carved and hollowed out , some are patterned,
