Hey all, so I have never carved foam either, but am interested in trying as well. Having an interest in stop motion animation as well, I found hot foam carving tools. Now, I know that they use these tools to carve styrofoam into set pieces, but I have often wondered if it might work for our...
I feel like I need to stand up for the Foam Book. I have never used a puppet project (even though they look great!) and started building with the foam book as my only resource. I certainly made mistakes in the beginning, but I learned so much from them very quickly. I also have never had to...
Please, don't let your first be your last. My first one looks like poop. But I remember (9 years ago?) making my first and just being so excited about bringing a bunch of random, shapeless materials into something that had life and almost peed. So I kept trying, and now, I must say my puppets...
I agree, I typically glue making sure I have excess...and then trim it down and it works great.

To any of you who put on shows, I have a question for ya. What all do you use for lighting, where do you get it from, how much does it cost app. I am thinking about building this great show and I am trying to work numbers out...thanks for your help!

Thanks for the comments guys! As far as closer pictures goes...I don't have that feature on my website. My neighbor actually designed and updates it for me and her web building skills are slightly limited...but If there's one in particular you'd like to see I could send it in an e-mail no problem!
Hi All,
I've been reading this forum for probably years now but never actually posted. But I'm ready now!! I'm a senior in high school and as an internship I've been making and selling puppets to friends/family/my curch...etc. I just thought it would be kinda cool if some of you checked out my...
