Wow, this is amazing! :) It's after midnight at the moment, so forgive the lack of eloquence.
I've always loved Muppet Babies, but I guess I don't have to tell you who my favourite character always was. ;)
I loved Baby Gonzo at first. However, I really disliked what he became in the last season after Jim died. Before where he was weird and off the wall, he became much more spiteful and downright mean to other characters like Fozzie.
Baby Animal may be cute, but you don't get any more adorable than fluffy musical puppies in diapers! :sympathy: (On a side note, why is it that Animal is the youngest....but that Rowlf's the only Baby that wears diapers?
As for my stance on the Muppet Babies, I love it obviously. but the...
I have no idea why, but THIS one I can never get through without a Kleenex.

But it's not sad really. Just really touching and sweet.
Yeah. Her death got me pretty hard. Nanny was one of my favourite Muppet-related characters ever. Partly because I loved the randomness of these baby Muppet creatures overseen by a human caretaker. I always wondered how Nanny got saddled with that one!
But it was mainly because of her...
RIP Barbara Billingsely AKA "Nanny"

94 years old....that's not a bad run.
But as a child of the 80s, I'll always remember her as Nanny.
That's one thing I never understood about Sesame Street babies. Aren't the "adult" characters around the ages of 3-4? As they are, the Sesame gang isn't much older than the Muppet Babies (which I figured were 2 and a half years old, roughly, based on something I noticed in one of the episodes...
I saw Muppet Babies Live when I was younger. It was adorable, and I loved how the Babies looked more like they did from Muppets Take Manhattan then they did on the cartoon.
The show I went to didn't have the giant inflatable Nanny legs like some of the prior shows did however. :(
That was a good special. It's a little surreal hearing about a Muppet dying though.
My morbid side is wondering how Uncle Jack died...and how exactly you kill a Muppet.. o.O
This is been re-iterated multiple times, but it deserves another say: This is EPIC.
I have to wonder, if this takes off well enough, if Henson/Disney will actually finally make a Skeeter muppet.
(BTW, major kudos if anyone pulls off a Nanny reference in this comic. Yeah it would be...
I was having this discussion with a friend awhile back, and decided to bring it here!
Should the Sesame Beginnings gang be considered Muppet Babies? Would they count? Why or why not?
My stance on it is that they would be: First off, they're baby Muppets. Hence, Muppet babies. Besides...
THANK YOU! That was my main stick ever since Muppet Babies first came out! I was pretty Muppet savvy even as a little kid, and I kept wondering why they had to invent Skeeter. Why NOT Janice? Or Miss Mousie? I ruled out Annie Sue because she would have looked too much like Piggy.
(Later...
Wah! He's all decapitated! That's still REALLY awesome. I would love to get that close to my favourite Muppet. :) It's too bad they took him apart though. I wonder why, and I wonder what happened to the rest of him...
I can get into this thread...despite the obvious choice of my favourite Muppet Baby. :)
Baby Gonzo though is awesome! The only thing I didn't like him in was the final season. He stopped being weird and became a pretty mean, spiteful and manipulative little thing. Then again, all the...
Really? There's a whole article about it on Muppetwiki if you want to get some info on it. It was like Sesame Street Live only with the Muppet Babies. the costumes looked more like the Muppet Babies puppets than the cartoon which was cool. :)
