I've heard to get hair looking all scruffy, you need to boil it.
Search the forum, i've seen quite a few teaching you the process for this... especially under Fozzie, Elmo, Cookie Monster etc...
It might be your camera but he looks a tad urmm blue. :) And are you using Ping pong balls? As i found them to be a little large when comparing them with the real Kermit.

As i was using a cheaper anti-pill fleece, sadly it's double sided so it couldn't be glued without it looking like crap. So i had to Henson stitch all my fingers which kinda worked in the end but it took ages!
Haha! thats one of the series of Kermit images i used for reference too.
I got some interesting info of how his hands are constructed through these, that his fingers are glue over wire and not stitched.
I think 5 sides might be still a little sharp at the edges for Kermit. I did a little research recently on Jim Redbook website and this image was posted. Looks like Kermit's body from 1977 was made out of 8 foam pieces.
Not a bad start indeed!... but i'd have to say practice a bit with the Henson stitch on a few scraps of fleece to help cover the seams as they look very visible here and stay away from the glue... On my Kermit, the only glue i used was to attach the eyes at the end.
It does take time to learn...

For the body i used Project Puppets 'Alternative Body' pattern and it gave me not bad results but it's definitely not Kermit as he look like he's lost a little bit of weight. Next time i'm going make it from scratch and match it to the more...
