i'm outraged. i grew up on the extended edition on VHS, so i was REALLY wanting this to have at least both versions, like the dvd did. i'm so upset right now. disney sucks

i say season 4. for me that was the show at the absolute peak of its powers. the movie had come out and was successful, they had won emmys, they were this mass phenomenon....it was so funny, they just had so much confidence then and it showed. and they had great guest stars at that point too

i hope we start to hear some news about this going forward soon. it's been fairly quiet recently, and i actually heard james bobin is directing some other movie now. i hope the sequel hasn't been pushed to the backburner

it's hard for me to see how the older movies were more "edgy" than this one. in tone or jokes or anything. i guess the show could be edgier at times, but certainly the movies were never really like that. not that i remember anyway

i also think that frank's piggy would have totally ripped those guys to shreds in that piggy talk show segment- that was a bit of a missed opportunity if you ask me

i agree totally with that. frank's piggy was a force of nature, that's for sure. esp in her later appearances, after jim died. before that she was softer, i think jim as kermit balanced her out but i will say that her total abrasiveness was usually hilarious and the interviewers were often...

i think it will do well, because the movie has already done extremely well on dvd/blu-ray. that insures that people who really loved it will show it to others who didn't see it and feed it to the kids, which is the demo that we REALLY need. i still think the muppets have passionate fans, but too...
