Ok, last one for awhile. My sister and I began piecing this one together, so I would think that it had to be old. Once again, it is fragmentary, and alot may be remembered wrong.
It was an "on the wall" skit, where Kermit was trying to demonstrate something. Herbert used to do this too...
Run with him....
Have fun with him...
and to follow it up --
I C I C L E;
one letter I for you,
the other one for me...
A B C D E
Hey this bone tastes like, err.....
the letter I!
;)
Thanks for helping me remember alot of the old ones.
In the same spirit, can anyone fill in bits of this animation?
it was about an ape, who was drawn in a loose cartoon form, who somehow had a birthday party.
there were (kind of) lyrics to the narraration..they kind of sang small bits of...
How about some help with this early one?
First was me (father)
Then was we (mother)
Then was them (siblings)
and that makes all of us
cause we're a family, a family
a family
family, family
a family
each like the other;
sister brother father mother.
(then comes the parade of...
This only had Ernie in it, and Blue Fat I think, but I haven't read about it yet in all the posts. Anyone remember this?
Ernie and the IceCream man -- Ernie wants this sky-high combination ice cream cone Chocolate/Strawberry/Peach/Vanilla/Banana/Pistachio/Peppermint......
The exasperated...
funny.
Yeah, I think that scene is actually combined with another skit in my mind, because that wide-eyed face fading to white is exactly what I remember as a frightened kid at about age 3 under the kitchen table.
See you in therapy, Mokeystar.
thanks for the insight. I read as many of the 86 pages as I could muster, before I posted this one, and couldn't find a match, although I remember just about every other one.
Sadly, I think the nail may have been hit on the head as this being an amalgam of two different skits, that of the...
My favorite was predating Bert's paper clip collection, when he shows Ernie his bottle cap collection, to try to get Ernie all into the joys of collecting things as a hobby. He proudly shows his bottle caps, which are in a frame with glass over it. There is a blank space in the middle, where...
Hey all,
I have this posted in the 'episodes that scared you' thread, but thought I would post separate as well.
Memory is a funny thing; and perhaps my earliest,(to an extent) is a Bert and Ernie skit, that I haven't seen or read of since. Perhaps it is a disjointed combination of a few...
More Early Stuff
In the earlier seasons, there was a short animation featuring the letter "W" and a group of witches. The moral or last line was "Witches that wash their wigs on windy Winter Wednesdays are wacky." I was scared at this as a kid because the witch wore a wig made of letter w's, and...
Please Help
I have been haunted by this skit as a child, and am desparately looking for verification.
I watched Sesame Street in the way early days, and this quite possibly may have been from the first season.
The skit goes like this:
Ernie is accused by Bert of taking cookies from off...
