***ATTENTION***
The figures on ebay and in the new Previews magazine are the ORIGINAL CLAY PROTOTYPES....we all know how much they...
hey all,
sorry I havent posted in a while.... been real busy. BUT, good news!
The meeting went wel wit Ses workshop. Lots of revisions.....bert's head will be totally redone, cookie WON'T have 5 toes?!, ernie's head will be smaller, bert's larger, cookie's eyes smaller, grover's feet smaller...
sorry all, the meeting got pushed back to next Tuesday. The sculptor and other important people who needed to be there, couldn't make it. I'll give an extensive update on the line Tuesday afternoon.
hey all,
Thanks for all the great insight! I meet with Sesame Workshop on Thursday to go over the first level of revisions. I'll let you know how it goes (on Friday)...
in a perfect world.... there would be no elmo. We'll eventually have to make him though. But I'd rather do a Sam the Robot figure before Elmo.
As for the oscar questions.... he will not have a full body in the first set. He will have a "pop-up out of his can" feature... We want to do another...
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I wasn't in the office yesterday.
I just want to let all you guys know: We definitely appreciate all your comments, negative and positive! The reason I decided to show you the earliest versions of the sculpts is because NOW is the time where we can make...
They wanted us to use the 35th anniversary "retro" style guide art as a basis...if you guys saw this art, you'd know where these figures are coming from. Bert is way "uglier" in the style guide...trust me. I really believe that these figures will be very cool once they are completed.
we actually just did a line of Muppet "3D-Animators" or push-puppets, that came out pretty cool (for mini-figures). Also we did some cold cast statues of iron maiden (eddie), the large scale KISS action figures they were like 36" I think....too huge for normal people! "Men Of Honor" (large scale...
once again all:
these figures are in their earliest stages. These are the first sculpts that were casted in plastic and painted for Toy Fair last week... They are still in clay form. There have been no revisions, and they are hand painted. They will be much further along when they are...
Hey all,
Thanks for all the feedback! WOW.... lots of comments to go over.
You all make excellent points. But please remember this is still the first sculpts (they are still just clay, and don't have much of the articulation yet) We want this line to be more of a compliment to your muppet...
All the figures will be texturized (alla the muppets figures)
they will all come with a "sesame street" base,
proper accessories: ernie-rubber duckie and a banana.
bert- bernice, cookiemonster- cookies, and a tea cup etc....
***they will all also come with a letter character (with eyes)...
The first series will consist of: Oscar, Cookie, Bert, Ernie, and Super Grover.
The figures will be based on the "Retro" style artwork of Sesame Street (check out the "Hot Topic" Sesame products, and T-shirt artwork). They will be fully articulated (along the lines of the Palisades' figures)...
We do have photos of the first series, which currently consists of: Bert, Ernie, Cookie, Oscar, and Super Grover.
We plan on doing: Snuffy, telly, two-headed monster, Guy Smiley, Count, Honkers, herry monster, sully, biff.... and that's just the beginning!!!!!

Fun-4-All has the license. We haven't done much in the action figure dept., mostly gift/ novelty items for hot topic and spencers gifts, But we did do some great cold cast statues, and some seriously gigantic action figures for Kiss (they were in Toy Fare magazine- for the Top 10 biggest figures...
Fun-4-All (toy company) is currently developing the first series of Sesame Street Action Figures.........they're AWESOME!!! I should know, I designed/ developed them :)
I would like to announce that Fun-4-All corp., will be producing a Sesame Street Action Figure line (due out March 2004)!!! They are going to be a little more stylized than Palisades' Muppets line, but they will have the same level of detail, articulation, and quality. Next year is the 35th...
