I have seen research that states that kids have grown up watching half hour videos of Barny, the Wiggles, Elmo, etc. Unlike the 60's and 70's, kids have a LONGER attention span now. They are accustomed to sitting down and watching stuff for long periods of time. This is why Elmo's world and...
Well, on further review of this thread, I can tell you that two institutions of American TV have gone in completely different ways in preserving history. You look at Sesame street and The Price is Right, both shows on US TV for more than 30 years, and you see how they both have evolved over the...
OK...I've read what all of you have to say about this special and I have one question...Why does everyone hate Elmo? I love Elmo. I respect Elmo and the ability he has to reach out to children and relate to children. Elmo is the mopst popular character EVER to walk down Sesame Street. Elmo is...
I don't know, but this sounds surprisingly similar to the Pixar deal. That worked out very well for Pixar and they now have enough money from Disney to go out on their own and find a distribution deal on their own with som erespect behind them. On the other hand, I think I partnership with...
I think this might hurt Henson's hopes. Disney on it's own would have been a shoe-in to partner with Henson. Under Comcast, there would be other sources of income. They would not need Henson. Pixar made Disney a whole bunch of money, but obviously not enough.
AMEN! The Muppets, and the Jim Henson Company in general, needs one single outlet for their TV programming and movies. Disney is perfect. Since Pixar is not under the Disney umbrella anymore, I think Henson is a perfect replacement. Personally, I think Pixar is making a huge mistake by not...
OK...I'd like to tell you how annoyed I am at Henson and most of Hollywood these days for projects like this. When did Hollywood run out of ideas? Why can't we see more original Muppets programming like TVMMC from last year?
That was an original story with the characters trying to put on a...
Bear is also on Game Show Network for one of his one week runs on Hollywood Squares from two years ago being rerun this week. Not exactly sure when the rerun of the start of the week was run, but I just noticed it today. GSN airs HS 7 days a week, hence my confuision. They air each 5 day week in...
Well...I guess I was really wrong. He WAS in the Muppet Show. But, then why would they have made him a character that they run into and don't know initially in Muppets Take Manhattan?
Can anyone here help me figure out something? I was watching the Gene Kelly episode of The Muppet Show today and I noticed a rat at the end of the show during the credit roll. Was that Rizzo? I thought Rizzo was introduced in Muppets Take Manhattan and that the only "Muppet Show" he was part of...
