Hi superboober,
That's one of my fave live films. I don't remember much more than you, except that at the end they all shout something.
I read somewhere that this was on one of the Noggin episodes so hopefully someone can fill us both in or even put it on youtube;)
This would be a great...
animated, girl & cat (Hubley studio)
Hi all,
A "Heads-up" to those interested in the vintage animated films. Saw one I've been looking for:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mW-lMdoV1o
absolute classic! :excited:
Well this announcement is good news however you look at it:).
As far as complete episodes vs. "compilations" - for me I'd have to go with the compilations.
Complete is usually the norm when I want to collect a favorite series, no question. I understand that "uncut episodes" are a must...
This is the one I'd like to see again, also described by rjschex...IIRC a bumpy road & kind of disorienting to me as a kid for some reason:confused:
Did this ever turn up on tape?
I guess this could cover a lot depending on our collective memories, but does anyone want to discuss the lost goodies?
Some I'm wondering about:
"Weaverbird" (nature film, Raposo song)
"King's Picnic" (Muppets: "you bring the potato salad" "sure thing, king")
"Swing up High" (live film, girl...
ilovepbs,
I haven't seen it in a while, but I'm pretty sure the music isn't "take five".
As I remember, it's definitely similar style, but not the same song.
I did read a post from a guy that was involved in the industry back then, and he said you should get results when doing the opposite - playing dolby surround stuff through a quad synthesizer - so it's worth a try.;) All of the formats use a form of phasing, if I'm not mistaken.
Re: vinyl and...
:)
I think kids would love it, I know I would have. When I was a kid, there were book & record sets and I loved em. In today's multimedia world, a book & CD might not go over so well...but a DVD with multichannel sound could work. Think of a story told with a surround audio environment. Or...
Since you mention that about the Count, I should say I remember finding one of his sketches "disturbing" as a kid. It's the one where Ernie is at his castle (got a job working for the Count??) and the Count tells him that all he has to do is answer the phone. But each time the phone rings, the...

a bio from PBS site
unfortunately (and ironically) just a blurb about their Sesame involvement and no pics that I could recognize...but a nice bio anyway (links at bottom of that page to more).
Only thing from Electric Company was two pics:
Letterman
and
Truth Ruth...
"'cause a city street, is like a beehive

While I agree emphatically that "bush may not connote the best literacy image", Laura Bush's "look I love little (American) children" safe posturing fails to impress (to put it mildly).
Literacy is indeed an important cause: if Americans actually bothered to read news sources out of the...
The mailman is a personal fave...I remembered the banjo tune since childhood and it was great to see it again on Noggin!
I like the girl making the stool one too.
Some of my 70's faves:
* Street scene (Mexico? not Sesame Street) with latin percussion soundtrack (steel drums too?) where...
