Just as an added note, I ran the WDW marathon a few weeks ago and the Kermit "walk around" was cheering runners on as we passed through MGM Studios. It was definitely a pleasant surprise!! I gave him a high-five as I went past.
He was across the roped-off marathon course from the regular...
Article About Croonchy Stars
The following is from a USA Today article by Stuart Elliott. I'm not sure on the exact date, but the ad below the article mentions the sixth anniversary of USA Today (1988?). The article is accompanied by a picture of the box (sorry there's no scan).
Muppet...
I'm assuming this is the Fisher Price Scooter from the late 70's -- the plush one with the green jacket, jeans, glasses, and hard shoes. If so, you're best bet is probably Ebay. There are usally a handful of these on there each week. Click here to see one of several up for sale.
Hope...
I believe you're correct. The carols in MFC were originally only licensed to air on broadcast television. For the special to be released on DVD, Disney would have to pay additional royalties to the copyright holders of those songs.
Unfortunately, Disney is unlikely to spend that much money...

Only a few people can start threads in the "Games" forum because there was a bit of chaos there last year. Basically, too many games became either pointless, offensive, or both.
They will--but only to an extent. The ratings for MWoO will be judged relative to it's time slot, other May special events, and the Christmas TV movie a few years ago.
In other words, they won't be expecting Desperate Housewives-type numbers here. On the other hand, if the movie doesn't do...
That book is awesome!!
For those who aren't familiar with Unpaved it's sort of a hybrid between Jim Henson: The Works and The Muppet Show Book (from the late 70's). The book includes a TON of info on old school Sesame Street...from lost characters to the show's history to famous sketches...
I got the same message in a PM. It's definitely a cool project. I'm assuming they want feature-length films. Otherwise, I'd have to include Muppet Family Christmas and The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years.
With apologies for copying Frogster, I have to go with the original trilogy...
By the way, here's the original "Children of the 80s" article that led to all the lists:

The Garbage Pail Kids were the coolest thing ever....if you were seven years old and read MAD magazine on a regular basis.
Basically, they were trading...
Best game ever? Two words: Bubble Bobble.
Actually, the old-school NES had tons of other cool games: Tecmo Super Bowl, Super Mario Bros. 3, Zelda, Slalom, Excitebike, Base Loaded, etc.
Sadly, the NES also brought us "The Muppet Adventure: Chaos at the Carnival." Even 15+ years later, I...
I find it quite bizarre actually. It's just odd that someone would bother to create AND use 4+ usernames on MC. Is it supposed to be a giant prank of some sort? Or plain old boredom?
Anyway, I agree with your theory. "Barney" and "Full House" are most likely this individual too. I...
It was deleted. Without getting into specifics, the whole thing kind of got out of hand.
By the way, it's interesting that "Ronald McDonald" recalls that particular thread. Just makes me wonder a bit. ;)
That's not saying much. You could pull 11 guys off the street and they'd probably beat the 49ers this year.
I guess if you're an Arizona Cardinals fan, you have to take whatever victories you can get though. ;)
Cool site. Just one question...what about the Muppet Central portions of the Jim Henson Hour?
It seems like that should be an option in the poll. Even if it wasn't as good as TMS.
Don't quote me on any of this, but I believe copyrighted works are protected for the life of the author plus 70 years. Or, in the case of corporate ownership (such as the Sesame characters) copyrights are good for 95 years.
There's a lot of other issues involved such as when the copyright...
It's a scam. Do not respond. Without reading through all of it, my guess is they want you to send your bank account numbers to them. They probably sent thousands out just like it.
You'd think they could have made it less wordy though.
In short, Frank Oz is busy directing feature films and working on other non-Muppet projects. Read more about it on Muppet Central's FAQ page:

Hope this helps!!
It was mostly the usual suspects (Oscar, Grover, Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, etc). All of the main human actors were there too. Best of all, Barkley made an all-too rare appearance.
As was mentioned, they sang "The Street We Live On".
Below is the link to the "Fraggle Merchandise" folder. It contains info and opinions on the Fraggle DVDs. Enjoy.
