Seems that Cookie is now the most popular character, though that kinda seemed obvious lately haha.
Thoughts?
The all-new Sesame Street Live show for the 2014-15 season has been announced! Here's more info:
"Your favorite friends are dancing in the street…Sesame Street, that is! Join Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and friends as they share fun renditions of Sesame Street songs, introduce new...
So even though SST's last recent major set overhaul was back in 08' or so, I've just noticed that the steps in the arbor area were removed. Seriously, how I could I NOT notice that? :p And just a random question, does anyone even miss it?
First off, let me just say Steve has done a terrific job with Ernie, especially his performances in recent years. The thing is that we barely see any much of Ernie anymore on the show - and I'm not counting Greatest Adventures. Sure we've gotten some good stuff lately - a street story, a new...
Here's some food for thought:
This year will mark Zoe's 20th year on Sesame Street.
Feeling old yet? LOL.
Which brings me to the question: what characters would you consider to be classic characters? Would it be only up to a certain period on the show (Ex. first 10 years, first 20 years...
I was just wondering, we know Matt is the understudy for the Bird, but does anyone if Oscar has an understudy performer?
Also, in general, does anyone know if other characters have understudies, and if so - who?
BIG BIRD... IS ON SNL!
Edit...Big Bird (performed by Caroll Spinney) just made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update segment.
Needless to say I lost my composure, lol.
MOD EDIT:

Since it's very easy to distinguish each season in the past 10 years or so (2002-present), I thought this would be a fun topic. Do you have any favorites or least favorites? List them them and/or state why you liked/disliked that particular season(s).
Here's my list, I'll go into detail later...
It's minor complaint really...but was anyone annoyed by that Cars 2 billboard poster that was in many of the background shots? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was the only licensed property outside of the Muppets themselves that are in the film. I just felt like they could of digitally...
We've lost another tv icon. Sherman Hemsley, best known for his role as George Jefferson on "The Jeffersons", has died. :sympathy:

According to Muppet Wiki, it appears that Sesamstrasse is dropping one of it's longest running characters Samson, and from the looks of it, Rumpel as well. I just have to say I find that so odd, dropping a character that's been with the show since it's inception (rather, 2nd era). Still, that's...
So I'm watching FTB and I wondered something. You know how whenever Big Bird is doing on location filming outside of the normal set he wears a tie to cover a hole in the costume? Well, for the film, since he obviously isn't wearing a tie, were they able to used the monitor for the performer to...
Seems like this was LOOOONG overdue.

Now, how about getting a 90's Nick NETWORK?;)

Really Pixar?
IMO, a need for a fourth installment is pointless, the third film pretty much wrapped up the franchise. And honestly, what could possibly top the the last film?
Your thoughts?
Well it's kinda early than I expected, but VEE has announced it's next Sesame Street Live show and...it's another repeat. Elmo Makes Music from 2006, which was originally Everyone Makes Music from 2001. Not to sound like the bad guy or anything but am I the only one TIRED of this storyline? Not...
