I haven't posted here for a long while but I just came across this article that mentions The Muppets in the closing paragraph. Surely it must be a joke:
"In the fall, ABC is bringing back The Muppets. No doubt we’ll discover that Kermit is homosexual. Miss Piggy will be caught in a...
I finally got to see it this morning, and I have to say I quite enjoyed it. I will admit, I found David Rudman's Scooter a bit hard to get used to at first but I really thought the special was great.
I came across what I thought was an interesting interview with Frank Oz. You can find it at http://au.movies.ign.com/articles/035/035842p1.html
But my gosh, the man sure swears a lot! At least they had the good sense to replace his curse words with stars.
I was in Warnimbool last week and saw the complete set on sale. It also had some if not all of the special features that did not make it on the season sets. I wonder why Magna Pacific did not include them before.
I only got around to watching that just recently, but I couldn't believe just how old much of that stuff is! Mind you, a lot of other stuff i vagely remember seeing when I was a preschooler.
Boy, how glad I am now that I did not stop watching when I turned 5.
Well actually, I have sort of moved out of my parent's home, but only from the main house to the guest house. That would be all well and good if the folks didn't expect me to give up my house when ever they had guests. Nevertheless, I have spoken to Mum about that and she said I don't have to do...
Elsewhere at Muppet Central I did start a thread on the middle part of the Sesame Street Theme http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?t=15571
On it I wondered if the middle part of that theme was ever sung on a regular basis. I know now it wasn't. Mind you, I do remember something like...
I think that's the name of the show, but I'm not sure right now. Anyway, it started on ABC1 last night and at the end of last night's episode they showed us some images of the world trade centre and one of them appeared on the front cover of a 1976 issue of Sesame Street Magarzine. It had the...
That is certainly good news for Australian Fraggle Rock fans who will now get to see their favorite show with no ad breaks. The bad news is, it's only on ABC2, which means you can only see it if you have a set top box or pay tv or something like that. Hopefully they'll put it on the main...
I just wondered if they were any Dire Striats fans out there. My father, brothers and I all love them. I myself have Brothers In Arms, On Every Street and the greatest hits set Sultans of Swing on CD and DVD in the case of the last named but am hoping to get more.
Just thought some if not all of you might be intrestested in knowing that my brother is going - if he hasn't already gone - to Western Australia later this month, and Mum and Dad are going to Queensland. I hope they all have a good time.
I am hoping to go away myself later this year. I hope to...
Whenever I watched The Muppet Show, I always felt sorry for Fozzie Bear. It seems he always tried to get the audience on his side, but the jokes just didn't cut it. He did have more luck during the first season, the audience always laughed at the one he told during the opening titles...
As far as I know, there were 4 sketches that had Bert and Ernie at the movies:
Ernie was making too much noise eating his food and Bert lost his temper with him. Finally an usher came and dragged Bert out.
The movie was having an advise effect on Ernie's emotions and the other people in the...
I seem to remember reading elsewhere at Muppet Central that Travelling Matt Fraggle makes an apperance in MTM. Well, I have this film on DVD and was viewing it last night, but I could not see him. There were The Muppet Babies in a daydream sequence of the adult Miss Piggy, and there was some of...
Before you think that this thread is in the wrong forum, I am refering to the Sesame Street Muppets.
This is an album that was released not long after the show debuted on US TV. I bought it second hand not long ago, and judging from the sleeve notes, it seems the songs were written for the...
Disney have coped a lot of flack lately, and rightly so in some cases, but there have done the Muppets one favour by putting the old stuff out on DVD. With The Muppet Show Season 1, The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper available to buy, we Muppets fans have never had it so good, in that...
I was just wondering if anyone out there remembers seeing the episode of Muppets Tonight which guest starred The Artist Formally Known As Prince. For me it was refresing to see someone who seldom does interviews and seems (to me) to be unaccessable really let his hair down. He certainly has a...
It would seem to me as though there are.
I have seen a few Sesame Street discrographies on the net and according to all of them The J Song and Everyone Likes Ice Cream were included. But I have that record and my copy does not have either of those, replacing them with Love Is a Really Good...
I just thought some of you might like to know that my cousin is getting married this Saturday. My parents and brothers have gone off to attend the wedding, and I am staying home to look after Mum and Dad's farm.
You might be wondering why I haven't gone too. Well you see, I don't enjoy...
