As a fellow Irish man I do appreciate the holiday for what it is. But yeah, other folks do just use the holiday as an excuse to get drunk.

I still have my collection of Mst3k fan recorded tapes from Comedy Central and sci-fi. I refuse to ever part with them.

For me I actually prefer watching 80s, 90s and early 2000s movies on VHS and keep some of the same on dvd for the sake of bonus features (or if maybe I just feel like switching up once in awhile 🤷🏿‍♂️). But I can understand why other folks just decided to rid them away. Different tastes in the end.

I did open it up and it appears to be clean. No dust anywhere. If you mean take apart the DVD player then that’s not something I trust myself with.

The thing is 11 years old. I think it may be coming to the end of the road.
