    Palisades prototypes

Tell me about it. Other than a few game based toy lines (and they aren't as common as you'd expect, outside of Halo) the only things I see are movie lines, cartoons based off of movie lines, comic book lines, movie lines based off comic book lines, and cartoon based on movie based on comic book...

Robert Zemeckis 'Buzzing' about a second Roger Rabbit Movie

Are you thinking of "Uncanny Valley," or is that just a term for robotics? I hate ultra-realistic looking CGI humans too. The stylization of humans in Monsters Vs Aliens and The Incredibles, and Up and others like them work, because they still look like cartoons. At the risk of...

Koch Records to produce Sesame Street CD's

They're really doing this...s....l....o...w...l...y... :sing: I really hope they have a good 40th anniversary music release (one that doesn't owe itself to too many celebrity guests) in the works.

Classic Henson Properties Now Available for Merchandise Licensing Opportunities

I'd like to see figures similar to the Sababa Doozers... but with all the characters. I like some of what Mindstyle was doing, but the pseudo-Japanese blind boxing (which, coming from a collector of the actual Japanese ones works better when it's packaged with Candy and a trading card), the...

Robert Zemeckis 'Buzzing' about a second Roger Rabbit Movie

Among other things, I feel that Pixar wants to right away say that everything they have done in CGI has been from scratch, without having to use any cost cutting/corner cutting moves like using motion capture, like other studios have started doing. It seems like they just want to stress the...

    Your Thoughts: Muppets From Space

I think it was more of a directing thing than anything else... Here's an excerpt from the Tough pigs interview with Joey, who wrote part of the movie: (full interview at http://www.toughpigs.com/blogarchive/2009_02_01_archive.html ) You can really sense how annoying it was... who...

Classic Henson Properties Now Available for Merchandise Licensing Opportunities

As I just said, methinks Mindstyle got the bad info that the Fraggle Rock movie is coming out this year. I'd be surprised if they're even still in business by the time the FR movie comes out. And even if they wanted to get those things out, wouldn't they need to re-negotiate the license?

Robert Zemeckis 'Buzzing' about a second Roger Rabbit Movie

Yeah, but what worked for Back in Action clearly won't work here. I must also add that Back in Action, while I think deep down it was a good movie was the wrong vehicle to gauge the popularity of the franchise. Look at all the garbage the Looney Tunes went through after that movie. I'm talking...

Classic Henson Properties Now Available for Merchandise Licensing Opportunities

Or as I like to think of it... "Hey, at least they actually gave it to us on DVD when they could have easily just given up after 3 volumes of 4 episodes each." I have a feeling no one expected the Fraggle Rock movie to take so long to produce. Mindstyle wanted to wait until the movie came...

Robert Zemeckis 'Buzzing' about a second Roger Rabbit Movie

I still say a movie that takes place about 1959-1960, where the theatrical toons are losing their jobs to TV animated stars would work. And cameos by Bullwinkle and the Flintstones and stuff like that would work rather nicely.

Any word on a seperate Complete Season 4 release

I really hope so, myself. Too many licensees got lost in the shuffle when a new distributor/ company took over handling the likeness. Let's not forget the absolute crazy fiasco that Transformers had when Rhino collapsed. Sony bought up the rights, and did nothing with them (other than...

Who's going to see Disney's the Princess and the Frog

That's the case here... they want a new princess, and they couldn't have made Enchanted merchandise, since they were to cheap to buy up the actress's likeness. Remember, for a while, Disney was shunned for making princess films, and when they moved to other things, they were shunned for not...

    Your Thoughts: Muppets From Space

The funny thing about Gonzo is that, if you think about it, they always managed to lump him up with outer space and alien stuff like that. Not saying that he was an alien, outside of Baby Gonzo's theoretic origin story on Muppet Babies, which was in his imagination anyway.... but there seemed...

    SST Easter Eggs

These were the same figures, BTW, as the ones in the Sesame Street Easter Egg Hunt kit. The Ernie is a rerelease of one that was available at Target (and a couple dollar stores) several years ago. The Grover and Elmo are new to me, though. I almost wish there was a Wal*Mart closer to me...

Any word on a seperate Complete Season 4 release

    A) is it really so hard to get Jim Cummings up there to talk about performing Darkwing Duck? I mean, he is their voices of Pooh and Tigger. They coulda just payed him to say a couple things during breaks. and B) It's not so much the lack of bonus features as the fact they don't want the...

Robert Zemeckis 'Buzzing' about a second Roger Rabbit Movie

The likelihood of Spongebob showing up is roughly the same likelihood that the Smurfs and He-Man would have shown up in the first one, made in the 80's. Unless the movie expressly is a commentary on Roger Rabbit living in today's world, which I really can't see happening, we'll only see period...

The Official "I'm looking for/trying to remember a sketch" thread

I wondered that myself. In old skits like Pinball Number Count and Jazz Numbers, they had famous bands/singers like The Pointer Sisters and Grace Slick, respectively. I always wondered if this was a famous band that was uncredited, or more likely a small local band/session band that did it.

The animator of the first episodes....

Yeah... a lot of other animation companies did TMNT... sometimes you'd have multiple different styles of animation in one episode. I think Cowabunga Shredhead (there's also another example, but I can't remember it) has regular action animation... but in a couple small sequences, the turtles...
