Re: workin' them toy makers too hard
Wassupwiththat? I could understand this happening with the Resident Evil figures:D
You using the same factory for both of them? :p
This is what can happen when you mix zombies and Muppets.... Bloody Beakers!
This is a line of characters from The Muppet Show
Pepe was not on The Muppet Show
Pepe Should Not Be Included
If they want to do a Pepe as an exclusive, that is fine. I just do not think he belongs in a line dedicated to the players from the Muppet Show.
The tricky part of this is: many of the Japan companies have a license which does not allow the sale of these outside Asia. (Hence the expensive secondary market costs).
I am lucky, my Mother-in-law lives in the Shen Zhen province of China. So what I would do is buy the toys, have them shipped...
From what I read (in the current Toyfare), the Kubricks are going to be the Sesame Street figures, not the Muppet Show. Shoud be interesting...
Do we have any Japan MC members who can fill us in on these? Hopefully they will make it over to the US via Diamond, I think they would be a neat...
Interesting note on the Kubricks, Mr. My Company Made A Kermit In A Lunchbox That Sells For $100.:D
Actually at retail the Kubricks aren't all that much. I only paid $7.95 for the set of Reservoir Dogs. On ebay stuff does tend to go crazy. I think alot of the prices are driven up at auction...
Yeah, when Palisades put "Play With It" on the pacakge, I am sure they did not imagine people would be using the toys to make children cry.
Hey Gorry, you know what they say "It's only funny until somebody gets hurt... Then it's hysterical!"
Am I the only one who thinks the Movie Maniacs are quickly running out of steam? I think Darkness looks super cool, and I will buy him. However, if I were making a Tim Curry figure for a horror line, I would rather see Pennywise from IT.
And what's with the Toothfairy? When it was first...
Mediacom is supposed to be releasing a set of Kubricks based on the Seame Street line. For those of you who do not know them, Kubricks are kind of like the little People who come with the Lego playsets. I have the Marvel superheros and the Reservoir Dogs, they are pretty cool.
Gorry,
That sounds good... we could even have the MC gang take their Vacation Fozzies and get photos with them at local landmarks, and we can swap them......
Each day act like a photo came in the mail....
Fozzie at the White House, Fozzie at the Grand Canyon, Fozzie in Las Vegas....
We...
To pull this off, you will need
Muppet Labs Playset (open)
Vanishing Cream Beaker (open)
Invisible Beaker (open)
A Gullible 'Victim' I chose an 8 year old I happened to have hanging around (who did not know about the variants)......
Let the victim play with the playset up until...
According to www.DiamondComics.com , they are shipping next week.
I have already spotted a couple on eBay, so they should be on the shelves any day now.
I don't think so. I used to shop the one in Harvard Square, and there was another one, down the street from the Tower Records and Ave Victor Hugo....
Just call them, I am sure that they get there toys from Diamond. And you can track when the playsets ship from the Diamond Website.
They probably get them through Diamond Comics.
If so, go to www.diamondcomics.com
From there you can find the weekly shipping list and see when they are sending the playsets out. Diamond is ususally a couple of weeks behind TRU, since their distrobution network is different.
All this is...
OK... Here goes, Bear in mind that I must share mine...
