Actually I just looked myself (i didn't know there was such a thing as muppet wiki) but neither the Bergen or Wences list the Japanese puppet sequence ... unless I'm just stupidly missing it, which is definitely possible...
Can anyone tell me, please, which episode featured the Japanese geisha puppet who turned into a demon of some sort? FREAKED ME OUT when I was a kid!

I always took it as a stylized "YAY" self-congratulatory thing. Nobody in real life does this (nod head w/ mouth open to convey excitement) but somehow or another, it reads perfectly well in the Muppets.
When I performed Audrey II, I did that with the little "Grow For Me" puppet...
