I really, really, really love "The Storyteller". Growing up it was one of the best things I've ever had the chance to see. And also one of the scariest.
The one episode that scared me the most was "Hans my Hedgehog"... the images of all grown-up Hans were haunting me throughout my entire...
Honestly, I find this thread to be really, really interesting! :) I've been a member of several different forums for quite a while now, but this is possibly the first time I've encountered a thread like this. The creator of this thread deserves a standing ovation - and this is no exaggeration...
Still, we can't really be sure about this one. Especially that the source of this poster is deviantart. I remember how one guy that I know managed to fool majority of the "Transformers" fandom by posting a blurry photo of a fake "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" poster that he made.
I too...
Some time ago, I've actually asked Heidi Arnold (the artists of both volumes) via her dA account, about the info regarding the number of volumes. Here's what she said:
And to prove that this is not a hoax, here's the link to the comment:

Hehe... I was waiting 'till someone's gonna bring this topic up.
I also couldn't help but notice a major likeness between Na'vi and Gelflings, not only physical. Just like Gelflings, Na'vi are peaceful creatures (though Na'vi, being very protective towards their clan and family, tend to be...
Wow... turns out that there are quite a few "Dark Crystal"-related figures/sculptures. Too bad that many of them were either not ever made (especially the Hasbro/Aviva action figures) or are now a rare-to-obtain item.
Personally, as far as it goes with action figures, I'd like to see more of...
Heh... seems like not everyone likes it. Which is fine, 'cause everyone has it's own opinion.
I admit, that I'd rather see Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino doing "The Dark Crystal" cartoon series, because I think that the style from "Avatar: The Last Airbender" would work really well in...
Whoa... These designs look awsome! :excited:
I'm definitely going to watch it, that is if it will be made. This project has a huge potential, so it would be a real waste to cancel it just like that. :p
Wow... this is so awsome! I've been waiting many years for this release: I hope this will come true. I can't wait for Spring... :excited:
I wonder if they'll include the tunes from all the episodes: mostly I'd like to hear the ones from "The Three Ravens" and "Hans my Hedgehog" - the tunes...
Hiya guys!
I don't know wheter you've heard about this or not, but the people involved in the seuqel project had recently announced that "The Power of the Dark Crystal" will have it's premiere in 2009.
So I guess we are forced to wait for the trailer a bit longer.... :sympathy:
Yeah I totally agree with you,
This is just too suspicious that ever since the information about the film came out for the first time, we haven't recieved any more information about it. I wonder if Genndy and Orphanage are making the film at all: on the official blog it sais that the film...
yeah, I also find this a bit strange and suspicous that since we first heard about the sequel, we didn't really got to see much about it - only photos from the promotional flyer, sketches by Brian Froud, and photographs from the presentation reel at comiccon.
I've been couple of times on the...
Heh... you got that point right. Since I discovered DA, I visited about thousands, or so, pages of many different artists and I've noticed the very same thing. It's sad to think that many REALLY good artists remain unnoticed by others, or even if they do get some attention they've got very...
Uhm... well, because my join date is 29th of April I don't know if I can call myself a new member, but I'm going to introduce myself anyway :D:
I'm from Poland, I like muppets, manga, anime and drawing. My adventure with Jim Henson's works started when I've seen Sesame Street for the first time...
Gosh... Is this topic dead? :concern:
Anyway, I'm really glad that I'm not the only one manga and anime fan here ^^.
These are some of the titles of the series/movies I like the most:
- Dragonball (except for DBGT which I think was a total disaster :p)
- Oh! My Goddess
- Hellsing
- Vampire...
Laszlo, what you're talking about is called bishounen - it's a term which is often used to describe feminine looking males in manga. Bishonen characters are quite common in, what's called, a "girl manga" or "shoujo manga", and are very popular among young female readers. :)
Looking at those...
