The lemony snicket unauthorized autobiography is one of the funniest books i think i have ever read. Not often have i laughed out loud while reading a book- this one had me doing so every other paragraph. Daniel Handler (i.e. Mr. Snicket) is one of the best new writers out- in my opinion. If...
The lovely products from sculptural arts
Hi! I just wanted to post a quick reply. While I have not used Sculpt or Coat for the specific purpose of puppet making, I have used it a lot.- along with some other similar products- in theatre (for props and sets). Sculpt-or-Coat is great stuff. It...
a girl with many titles
i too am an administrative professional, receptionist, secretary, office manager, personal assistant/ scheduler- or any other name that means i sit at a desk, type things, answer the phone and order office supplies. I work with 4 other people- very small company. I was...
Thank you, thank you. I can think of no better way to spend the summer than in the middle of a state park, surrounded by friends, and building scenery.
Finally, something to look forward to!
Hello- I know I don't know anybody here very well, but I just got some cool news, and I am at work, and need to share it.
I just got a job at a summer theatre- as master carpenter/ assistant technical director. I'm very excited! Hooray for good luck!
:D
should we vote on what we have so far? If we need people to help organize this thing, so that we can get reading and discussing, I volunteer to help. I'm not trying to step on toes, just putting name out to help.
:D
I, too, was thoroughly disappointed in this "special"- if you can truly call it that. Is sesame workshop afraid of to steer away from Elmo? That's what the special felt like. I would have loved an hour long- or more- of nothing but old clips- they wouldn't even have to have anything else...
I saw it last night. I really loved it as well. It really surprised me. Every other Ron Perlman movie I've see (save "City of Lost Children- his best) doesn't let him act, doesn't let him be anything but some sort of two-dimensional burly guy. Hellboy was a refreshing change for him.
It...
does anyone have this special on tape? I've never seen it, and I do not have cable or anything like that. I remember seeing it when it first aired- and i was pretty young, so do not remember much- but they showed a clip of it on CBS sunday morning, and i was crying from that. I would very...
Just a suggestion
I love the idea of a mc book club/ discussion group. Since we have been going back and forth trying to pick a book to start with, I'd like to pose a suggestion. Perhaps everyone could submit their suggestions for books to read, and then either we could vote on which to start...
I was born in '80. While I liked Muppet Babies and watched them regularly, I really got hooked with Sesame Street, and later with Storyteller, Fraggle Rock and Muppets Tonight. And they must have showed reruns or we had tapes of The Muppet Show, because I can vaguely remember watching that as...
I agree with that. Star Wars and Princess Bride are two of my favorite movies. However, they are very clearly set in the fantasy realm. You know immediately that they are not real- or at least, I do. Whereas, "The Prince and Me" seems to be based in a reality, or at least in Hollywood's idea...
I just saw a preview this weekend for "The Prince and Me", a movie coming out soon- i believe starring julia stiles- i get her confused with other young actresses, so it may be someone else. Anyway, the premise of the movie seems to me that she meets a guy and falls for him, and guess what-...
