Had to share this. http://popbytes.com/archive/2008/06/madame_lives.shtml
Most people don't remember the show, but if you watch some YouTube clips, you'll be caught up.
I came across these puppets produced by GUND and thought the scale of them was pretty cool. Almost actual size!
Cookie Monster (27.5" tall)
Elmo (29.5" tall)
Grover (34" tall)
Ernie (29.5" tall)
They seem to retail about $50 each, but the site is sold out currently. I couldn't tell if these...
Found this very cool troupe called Skin Deep Circus, which is a tiny puppet production in the UK that travels around. Their show is based around the idea of a circus freak show. I love their work and wanted to share it with everyone here. Check out this cool video of their work...
Just wondering if anyone has a free pattern that would allow a newbie to explore puppet construction. I think the end products of Project Puppet look great, but I wanted to start with something more simple, and perhaps less work. Aside from attaching a pair of eyes to a sock, is there an easy...
Not sure if anyone was into Teddy, but in the 80's, I was a huge fan. A new company is bringing back the doll with MP3 technology (no more cassette tapes!). Just thought I'd share it since Teddy was my first puppet-esque toy.

I've been readin the forums and notice a lot of people talk about two things:
1. People wanting to touch the puppets.
2. People asking "where can I get a puppet like that?"
It made me think of how lucrative a puppet/plush doll tie-in would be after a preformance. Those that design with antron...
Since we seem to keep finding eBay Muppet Knock-offs, I've decided to start a thread we can keep track of them with.
Just found one for a Kermit and an Elmo. I think its tacky when they post the listings and rename the characters or act like their just a generic puppet. Its called copyright...
Ever since joining this forum I've pondered the idea of creating a real Muppet show. Basically really doing what the premise of the Mupper Show was, a theater production with puppets as actors.
I was thinking of what a novel idea it would be to have a dinner theater based around this idea. A...
Just wondering this. I noticed that some characters change over time. Was "Muppets from Space" one of those movies where the actual puppets changed? I noticed that Piggy, Animal, Gonzo, and Rizzo all looked different. Maybe its just the change of clothing, or is it something else in the faces?
Anyone notice this series on Nick Jr.? They basically took the dog from Blue's Clues, converted her into a puppet, and made her own imaginary world, ala Elmo's World. The puppetry is well done and the character design is on key with the other shows. It just seems odd they'd make a non-talking...
