"Kids say no to drugs, help put an end to preachy sitcom endings like this one. It's up to YOU to make a difference" --Robbie Sinclair
Guess what Elmo's thinking about today?... FIRE!
Insert all the standard content... end with Elmo going up in flames.
BTW, Elmo has been "thinking about" jackets for the last five
consecutive shows that I've seen. Talk about a one-track mind! If he loves them so much, I think we should...
Hmmm... maybe the word "camp", and the fact that you devote your life to toys worked against your cause at that time, LOL
I will resist doing any jokes about winning her over with "your figure" :)
Cherry "hey, I'm not a junior member anymore, it's calling me a member now, woo hoo!" Pizza
oh thanks.... like I said, my series one figures are still arriving so I haven't seen all the detail on the cards as yet
Cherry "Have I told you lately that I love ResidentLilly" Pizza
Ok, this is going to make me sound lame, like a rookie and possibly inspire Statler & Waldorf style heckles from those who've had complete sets for months, but the isolated little eBaying Aussie is finally a member of the "I have a Palisades action figure to call myown" club.
My Vanishing...
Apologies if I'm causing anybody to repat information here, but I don't think this was in the FAQ...
Are the cards for figures in the second and subsequent series going to be marked with "series 2", "series 3", etc, as the Spiderman movie figures are? Just wondering if there was any way for...
Not forgetting the Muppet Central playset, with figures of all of us...
unless the people from the Simpsons sue because we all look remarkably like the Comic Store guy
"Ooh, a fat sarcastic Star Trek fan... you must be a real devil with the ladies"
Well I guess all the individual figure ideas have been said, so a few "playset" suggestions...
GMC - a balloon that comes with either Fozzie or Kermit... and maybe some other regular figures could be specially shaped so that they can lean/hang out of the edge of the basket
MTI - the...
I guess this message is both a follow-on and a flip-side to my question about the scope of your Muppet collection, since this one is about a particular focus in the same.
When I started collecting, my main source was the charity second-hand shops (we call them op shops in Australia... I have...
Since Jim Henson once described himself as a "work in progress", I guess we can all use that excuse for our collections seeming eternally "incomplete". It just seems that, like so many other things, the more you gain, the more you realise there is left to gain.
I guess that this little babble...
Speaking of photographing stuff, howsabout we take some photos of our collections to let other people see... according to the list of forum rules we can't post attachments here, but I guess we could put them on a web page and give people the URLs...
As for the Gone With The Weird, I just won...
I must confess that I do keep items in their packaging, because, as I've said before, the package has beauty of its own and has display value. Besides I also get hold of a number of out of package items and they serve my "play" cravings... but the whole "keep it in its package so I can one day...
Nothing is more valuable than a gift from one of your best friends.
On the surface, the "thing" may not be valuable per se, but the "gift" certainly is. Let's not forget that "gift" is the culmination of a thought of you, the effort to acquire it and the act of handing it over to you.
This...
As I've hinted before, if they were available from retailers in Australia, you wouldn't have to ask me too nicely to go and buy them :)
eBay sellers have really been bleeding me dry in my efforts to get hold of series one
Cherry "no hope of getting a variant Dr Teeth" Pizza
Just an abstract thought... since not all the playsets have been determined, who would buy one of something that never actually existed, but was often referred to/ dreamed about out loud
How big a seller would the Doc Hopper Restaurant playset be, with its menu on the back wall offering extra...
