I got the Verizon Spotlight Magazine March/April 2012 edition in the my mail today. If you don't have FiOS TV and don't get this, you can read the article in the below. It discusses the Muppets on OnDemand and has a 2 page interview with Kermit (with a short timeline of his career)...
Awesome pictures! It kind of funny because Fozzie looks happy being with you (I know he will always looks like that). :)
Also, I surprise how much you really look like your avatar.
Thanks for sharing....and keep on sharing!!!!
Congratulations on winning the auction!!! Are you going to restore it as Fozzie Bear or Ma Bear (at least that what the hat prop shows)?
Glad you got it, but it will be sad that you will probably be no longer be fighting for a photo replica to be made anymore (yeah, I know the idea is currently...
Are you bidding against him? Just curious if you decided to bid anyway since you said you don't know if you can trust it.
Whoever wins, post more pics!!!
falseintensity you can spend the 4500? I hope you get it. Looks like you justed posted to your competition as it looks like Muppetfan123 is the high bidder (or maybe it's not him). I wish I could spend that much.
I never said it would happen. But since they still have a prototype, it would still probably less then 12-18months you projected as the would not be at the concept stage. Even if they decided today, they still would not make it by DVD/Blu-ray time anyways, which like you said is not going to happen.
Frogpuppeteer, thanks for the tip on the Walgreen's Kermit. I just picked one up (they still have 4 left after I bought mine) and it was on sale for $1 less ($6.99 from $7.99).
It's decent for $7. I'd say it looks better then the Steiff Kermit, but I'm judging that by the pictures as I don't...
Statler: "Is this movie in (Blu-Ray) 3D?"
Waldorf: "Nope, the Muppets are as one dimensional as they've always been."
Well, we don't know what the features are yet, but 3D won't be one of them.
Ha..to throw that joke in there in light of the angst. Wocka, Wocka......
You both are right. Technology is always changing and it is changing fast. That is the problem with being a late adopter as it will change when you get it, but as DrTooth said not everyone can afford it early or midways. To be fair though about HD-DVD, it was competing against Blu-ray (which won...
Hey, you can see in my post that I agreed with you that they should not make content only on one format versus another. That is just plain wrong.
I feel bad your vision does not allow you to enjoy HD. For kids movies/shows and Romantic comedies, it is really a waste as they are zoomed in anyway...
Okay, I'm a lot bias here as you can tell from my username. DVD's are way too blurry for me (even upconverted by Bluray player), but they are fine if you still have a standard definition TV, which appear that they ones complaining still have. Believe me you would not want DVD's if you had an...
Not on mine as you can see from my pictures, but it does look like the nose is painted (probably from white), so they might have missed a spot.
Is your fozzie's hat like my fozzie's hat (i.e. having stitched folds on the front and back)?
No problem. After I started posting on this forum, I read your post on the Master Replicas Fozzie Bear. That's the one I really want, but alas Master Replicas is gone and eFx Collectibles looks like they are not going to do it because of cost, production issues, expired license, and lack of...
Well, I got my Steiff Fozzie today. Sunny Bears' Chrissie and Scott packaged the box really well! Kudos to them. They boxed and padded the cardboard Stieff Box, which was also boxed the regular Stieff box (so triple boxed). There is no Steiff bag like I saw in the Kermit reviews. Fozzie was just...
Well, they could always catch the Muppets DVD/Blu-Ray release date which should be at least 3-4 months away. But that probably is not going to happen if they don't have a license anymore.
Looks like Sunny Bears is out of their initial allotment and is now set for pre-orders for more. Luckily, I ordered a few days ago and Fozzie is sitting at the UPS depot 15 miles away as of today. Sunny Bears staff are really helpful.
I guess the only other store that has the same price as...
