I know that a lot of Warner properties are on YouTube. In fact I thought I've heard about Warner taking some things down, yet there's still a lot of Looney Tunes, Anamaniacs, Tiny Toons, Taz-Mania, and other WB properties online.
A few months ago I was interviewed for the booklet for an upcoming project, and I've been told a few other fans were as well, but Disney just now sent me an e-mail confirming what it was for and not only gave me the okay to tell you all online, but also a full press release on what it is. It'll...
I wonder if any public domain programs have ever been taken down from YouTube because of video companies that released them. Which would be a big blow... They paid nothing to release the videos, and then prevent people from seeing them online for free.
Is there a trope for instances where a character is talking dirt about another, and that character suddenly shows up behind the character who is talking badly about him/her?
Some examples:
In UHF, George talks badly about his boss, Big Edna, who shows up as he's talking about her.
In The...
What's the deal with people being able to work around copyright on YouTube by showing alternate versions of some programs? It seems some companies are against their work being uploaded online by fans, sometimes going as far as to remove videos that include clips or audio that the companies...
Has Sesame Workshop been taking down full episodes that are not available on DVD or iTunes? Or is it just the ones that can be purchased legally?
Buck-Beaver mentioned that it could be the current distribution deal. But then shouldn't the copyright claim be by Warner as opposed to Sesame...
I'm not surprised. After all, Warner Music Group has blocked various Muppet videos with music tracks that the company released long before YouTube was invented. Ditto with many of the Disney Afternoon theme songs, apparently.
Least favorite holiday: New Years (eve and day). I've never really enjoyed it as a kid, since school starts very soon after New Year is over (maybe not the day after, but within a few days), I don't really appreciate it much now (though it's been years since I didn't have to work past midnight...
At the beginning of UHF, after George accidentally burns the fries at Burger World, Bob tells him he'd better not let Big Edna see it, prompting George to ask Bob why he's so afraid of her and talk badly about her, only for Big Edna to show up at that very moment and fire/throw out both of them...
I wonder why most of the characters had slightly different names on the cartoon series. It's not like another company was trying to cash in on the success with a suspiciously-similar show (like how the characters on Baby Talk had names that were similar to the names of the characters from Look...
There's an episode of The Odd Couple where Felix dates a woman who is secretly in a play in which the entire cast is nude. Oscar and the poker players find this out because Murray had arrested her and the cast, and there's two instances of the cops showing up during the play to arrest them. This...
Least favorite Rocky and Bullwinkle storylines:
Jet Fuel Formula - parts of it is okay, but it goes on too long (and is the longest storyline), and the direction of the story keeps changing
Upsidasium - Like the above, it's just too long, and the first several chapters are quite boring. But the...
Least-favorite animated Disney films (including direct-to-video sequels):
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Pocahontas
The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride
Tarzan
Dinosaur
I realize there's a few that I should list (Atlantis, Mulan, Treasure Planet, many more made-for-video sequels) but I haven't seen...
Now I'm going to list my least-favorite works from some of my biggest idols:
Least-favorite Jim Carrey movies:
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (though I liked it better when it first came out. In fact back then I liked it better than the first)
Fun with Dick and Jane
Least-favorite Adam...
Here's my least-favorite episodes of shows that I like (I'm sure these are incomplete and that there are least-favorite episodes I can't think of right now):
That '70s Show:
The Promise Ring - I always found this episode to be quite boring and bland (I can't believe it was one of the top ten...
I've thought the same thing. Regarding book burning, I wonder if anybody has ever stolen any books before burning them (NOTE: I do not recommend stealing anything).
And I wonder why people should feel guilty about what they like. I wondered if "guilty pleasures" meant "things we know are bad...
I like tomatoes, but there are some foods I don't like, at least on their own, but I do like a number of things that include those as ingredients (I was going to list these earlier but didn't because of this).
I don't like cheese, but I do like pizza, lasagna, macaroni and cheese, fettuccine...
Oh this can be fun!
Foods I hate:
Potatoes of any kind (though as a kid I actually did like french fries until I was 7 or 8)
Meatloaf
Spinach
Sloppy Joes (it's like eating a chili sandwich)
Beans
Salad dressing (though I do like salad... Lots of people comment on how weird that is)...
