PBS launches first-ever national 24/7 PBS Kids Channel via broadcast OTA and on-line

Here's how I see "classic" sort of: if you base it on that 2008 labeling, everything after season 24 was "new." However, that's been almost nine years ago. Does that cut-off stay where it is? Probably not. In 2008, 1993 was 15 years back. Now, it's 24. If that's how they're going to define...

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4703 - Abby Helps Clear Things Up

It's not a hold over. As I've said, they're still gonna re-run Murray stuff even though Joey is gone and they've said they'll continue using the older EW segments as well as the new ones. There wasn't really much of a story to this one, but it was quaint. The gag with the pineapple was probably...

    New Mickey Mouse Shorts Announced

They're still doing more shorts, as far as I know (I'm pretty sure they're doing a half-hour Halloween special like the "Duck the Halls" one). Plus, these are airing on two different channels, right? Not much interference.

    The Muppet Mindset

I've kinda lost interest in the Mindset. Fine idea for a site and they've done some great stuff, but ToughPigs is much more readable because they have an attitude that makes their stuff far more entertaining to read, even after more than a decade and being written by the same few people. With...

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

Yeah. As a performer, he more than likely does vocal warm-ups and such to keep his voice in good shape. And to respond to someone else, they have no plans of recasting Murray, according to Matt Vogel.

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

I didn't notice much on Telly; I actually thought Marty's puppeteer skills were slipping back due to his age in 2011, but he's since proved me wrong. He seemed fine; most of his scenes in the garden were done by Tyler Bunch instead, with Marty either looping later or doing it live on set. And I...

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion, but I think this would've worked better without Caroll's voice. It's much harder to emote as a character when you're just dubbing over lines, so it won't have the same impact as the actor. If Caroll was on set (which I don't think he was), it might...

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4701 - Be Kind to Your Worm

I feel like this was two stories in one; the holiday thing and Slimey moving away. The latter part was definitely better. If they had picked one aspect to focus on, the story would've been a lot stronger.

Sesame Street Season 48 begins shooting, HBO premiere set for November 2017

The fate of the country is a lot more important than Sesame Street's casting choices.

Probably. They were appearing less and less each season still. Bob called the show a "hobby" as of a few years ago. It's nice that they were still around, but if they're relegated to a two-second cameo or whatever, I think that's a waste. Either use them fully or don't. If anything seems sour...

Sesame Street Season 48 begins shooting, HBO premiere set for November 2017

Nothing. I'm not pleased with the move, but it happened and it's time to move on. Half you don't watch the show today anyway; you still have your memories and YouTube clips to honor their legacy.

It's almost as if the Muppet characters are objectively more popular than the human ones, therefore they'd get better treatment...

TV Alert: Oscar the Grouch on The Ellen Show Tuesday January 10, 2017

I think he also had some sort of injury or has been recovering from one that's prevented him from physically operating the puppets.

    The Muppets and YouTube.com

"National Rubber Duckie Day" is this week and I guess they filmed a few celebrity versions of the song for the occasion. They had celebs film short bits for the "Love to Learn" months, so these seem to be in the same vein.

Sesame Street Season 48 begins shooting, HBO premiere set for November 2017

I honestly don't get how we've seen the Two-Headed Monster more than Ernie and Bert. I get that kids might not be able to sit through an E&B sketch because they'll lose attention and they're whole "Odd Couple" dynamic doesn't really work when they're in supporting roles, but c'mon. They're the...

Well, considering we've seen footage/pics of other celebrities singing the song, it can be inferred there's something else involving the song being done.

If they are planning to use him again, I don't understand this whole "scaling back of Muppets" thing then, especially when they're adding new characters this season apparently (Julia and Rudy).
