Did you ever notice how Jerry Nelson sings almost ALL of Cabin Fever? Haha. I've been singing along with that song since I was like 10, but today I was just listening to it and I was thinking "That's Jerry... that's him again... and again... whoops, and again, some female voice I can't place...
Hey guys-
So I have an audition on Monday for Little Maestros. I don't know how many of you know what it is, but it's basically a band that plays at kids' classes and birthday parties. I'm really excited!
They told me to bring in an uptempo, upbeat, kid-friendly song. She gave examples like...
Hey! I have the OBC recording for Hairspray, but I can't email it to you because a) I'm not at my comp and b) that's slightly too much bandwidth for my email to handle. You said you had AIM--IM me tonight on DestinationNYU and I can send them to you that way wicked easily. :)
Wait... What? The Muppet's aren't real...? Are you serious? :concern: WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE MUPPETS AREN'T REAL? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! STOP THE PRESSES! HOLD EVERYTHING! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :concern:
;)
As far as I know, "When I Grow Too Old To Dream" was only released on Linda Ronstadt's album "Living in the USA" while "Blue Bayou" was originally released on her album "Simple Dreams" but is pretty much guarunteed on any Best of or Greatest Hits album.
Sorry I can't be a bigger help...
So I saw MTM at midnight last night and LET ME TELL YOU... it was a Muppet fan's dream. :)
The theater was packed, and people who arrived late were stuck on the sides looking for empty seats. The theater wasn't that big (it wasn't that big of a theater house) but it was definitely filled...
Haha, yeah, I saw the Broadway revival of Rocky Horror in 2000 with Tom Hewitt and Raul Esparza and Daphne Rubin-Vega (if anyone's familiar with Broadway people...). Ana Gasteyer played Magenta and, actually, Dylan--er... Luke Perry played Brad. He was actually pretty good. I was surprised...
Happy Birthday to Frank Oz!
In honor of the day, here's a little bit of what "Of Muppets and Men" has to say about Frank:
"Frank Oz's humor is a sudden release of energy, a surge of comic inventiveness that is in direct proportion to his habitual seriousness. It comes bursting out almost...
Yeah I really liked At World's End as well! It's obviously not as good as the first one, but, imo, it's much better than the second, which I also liked. They pretty much just hand the film over to Johnny Depp and, believe me, that's absolutely fine! :)
I, personally, LOVE midnight movies just because they're midnight movies. I've seen Rocky Horror a bunch of times and I always see my "I HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE NOWWWWW" movies at midnight, like the last Pirates movie, all the Harry Potter movies, and even Snakes on a Plane! I would be seeing...
Marky, I'm gonna have to politely disagree.
The reason the main Muppets are the main Muppets (Kermit, Gonzo, Piggy, Fozzie) is because they all have different facets to their personalities. The characters are able to change, to continue to develop... Even before Gonzo made the transformation...
I think you're doing the right thing by keeping the page up. As they said on the TP forum, it was, after all, a public memorial. None of us who visit Muppet Musique would ever exploit the service and it was such a cathartic experience for all of us to listen to it...
So thank you, again.
Ooh...
Alas! If only I had a thousand bucks to spare...
Really it's still alas, if only I had 200 bucks to spare to buy the Kermit photo puppet... :( Soon I'm gonna need 400 for Kerm and Gonzo...
