Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed. When Dave Goelz and Bill Barretta announced this, with permission from Debbie McClellan, I thought it would be on the Muppets YT channel. If anyone has the app for this, please upload it to YT.
Nadine Zylstra: You guys are the actors, so one of the challenges as directors is they have so much freakin' fun on the set, that at a certain point we're like, "Hey, we're trying to get through the day here!"
Kevin Clash: But you guys have fun, don't you?
Nadine: We have a lot of fun, but...
Rick was actually fired because, he looked at David Rudman's series ideas without his permission. I think Rick is just bitter that he stood in for Jim as Kermit, yet he didn't become Kermit's new performer.
I liked both songs in the episode pair. I liked Gonzo insisting everyone put underwear on their heads. Fozzie making pieces of bread move with forks and calling it the Walking Bread was funny. Also, when they tickled the ghosts, they're sneezing sound, "Ah-boo", was funny.
Kevin Clash: If you go on YouTube, there's this wonderful piece of Jim and Frank doing a test to see how the Muppets looked out in the real world, because this was the beginnings of talking about doing the Muppet Movie. And it's in London, and it's Fozzie Bear and Kermit, and Fozzie's telling...
Joey Mazzarino: Matt and I direct these things out on the street, Murray goes out on the street mostly, he's not on the set, and one time we were in Brooklyn in Park Slope, and this woman smoking a cigarette comes up, and she was angry going "What are you people shooting here now?" I said...
Since Pig's Laundry and Froggy Fool said they prefer David's Cookie to Frank's, I have something related to that: I prefer the way David's Cookie sounds now to how it was when he first started. The 1:41 mark of this video shows what I mean. It goes from a Cookie clip from 2005 immediately to a...
This is what I put on Facebook: Today is the birthday of 2 people who played Kermit the Frog and Ernie, Jim Henson and Steve Whitmire. To celebrate them, here's a pretty cool video that someone made taking two versions of Rainbow Connection, the original version from the Muppet Movie and the...
Joey Mazzarino: I think new media helps us a lot, YouTube is hitting people that it would never hit. I wrote this song called I Love My Hair for my daughter, and it wound up becoming a viral thing. (Audience claps) Thank you. The first time I knew it was something special was this woman called...
I'm really sorry Brian Henson gave you a bad impression. He probably didn't know you were one of the puppeteers just because, he wasn't the one who hired the puppeteers. He was kind enough to sign my copy of Jim Henson the Biography when I met him at DragonCon.
I forgot to say this, but when my dad mentioned to Roscoe that we ran into Steve that day, he said that he, Bob and Emilio had dinner with Steve the previous night and talked about possibly including them in his own projects. So that's cool! Anyway, here's more video of Steve at a convention:
Kevin Clash: I got to perform with Jim a bunch of times and I loved how respectful he was when he came into Sesame Street. You know, this guy has done everything, directing, producing, but he was always respectful to whoever was directing. He even said to me "Boy, this script is hooo!" But he...
Joey Mazzarino: This is an example of a character who went on, not to be a hit character but somebody who lasted. There was a little grouch plant that was in a bit, and the writers loved it so much they wanted to create a character for it. (He does the voice) "And then he became Stinky the...
I thought Grandpa Camp had a sweet premise. I also liked the fact that Gonzo's grandparents were live-action humans. I like when everyone decided to cross each other's kingdoms, Gonzo didn't want them to enter his kingdom until his crown flew off.
