Thanks! I think I'll make the trip back and pick'em up!
Now... I remeber seeing MTM back in the day on video - but I don't remember much of it. I see a lot of people here saying that it's not that great.
Should I avoid it? Is is the weakest of the films?
I remember seeing the Muppet Movie quite well. I was 5 going on 6. It was a huge deal back then - they had the #1 show, and the movie was so, soooo excellent. As far as a Muppet production goes, I consider it flawless and timeless.
Also, what some of you (who may be younger I guess) may not...
I saw Muppets from Space and Manhattan both for 6.99 on DVD at WalMart. I don't have Manhattan at all, and I only have MFS on VHS.
My question to you fellow fans: are the bonus features any good on them? Is the commentary funny on MFS? I like MFS, and haven't even seen Manhattan since the...
Well, to be fair, a lot of that would have to do with what the script and storyline give a character, wouldn't it? Not to mention the director. I wouldn't put that 100% on the performer. Just my opinion.
Still, ashanti or no ashanti (she wasn't terrible), I'd still rather have had MWoO than nothing. I didn't like it enough to buy it, but it was an okay rent (I missed it on TV). It had some moments, and a decent effort was put into it. I'd like more things like that. Better than nothing!
Yeah, I know what you mean. Come to thin of it, for all the complaining I've done about Disney, I also have to consider this... If I ran a compnay which had a chance to buy them, I sure would. And If I took over a company that had just bought them, I probably wouldn't sell them either.
Has...
a) video tape your work. watch it, criticize & improve yourself.
b) send copies to agents (emailing digital clips is just as effective).
c) build your own website.
d) try to land an agent (not necessarilty for puppeteering, but acting, voicework, anything).
e) purge any contacts you have for...
What have they done that's 'horrid'? My major complaints have all been lack-of-action-related. You can't honestly say you would have preferred nothing over MWoO? I'd rather them put out decent stuff - which I'm sure they could.
Yeah - start something without 30 years of history - history can be baggage! That's why I'm glad the new Star Wars TV show will feature minor characters from the films.
Yeah, you're right.
Hey, if Disney puts out something great in a few years and they make tons of dough - all the power to 'em!
(hmm... wonder if that Star Wars tv show'll come out before then...???)
It is getting old, yes, I admit. I'm helping it get old, too, I confess.
I just love the Muppets so much and have for my whole life.
I mean, I'm also a life-long Star Wars fan! You think I've had it easy since 1999??? How can I defend Jar-Jar? Fellow Canadian Hayden Christiansen's acting? CG...
... I just promised BEAR I'd no longer comment on Disney since I've done nothing but 'trash-talk' them.
However, reading this is like an AA member stepping into Oktoberfest.
Easy now, I never said that they ruined people's lives!
Yes, I've express my opinions on Disney's lack of motion (unless the motion is a removal or cancellation) on anything Muppet since MWoO, but I haven't been alone by doing so - not by a long shot.
Nothing I've said has been overly...
