The Empire Strikes Back was once referred to as "Star Wars 2." That's all we need to know.
Everything in this process is just starting. We'll probably have a better title, and HOPEFULLY a solid release date to go with a well done script.
Like I said. I'd MUCH rather wait until 2014 for a GOOD movie slot. If this thing's in August, they might as well just release it DTV and give it a budget of 50 bucks. The G.I. Joe movie was hurt by the August release... I don't think I know anyone that even remembers there was a G.I. Joe...
That is SUCH a career killing movie right there. Chevy hasn't had a single hit since lord knows when, he was the first to leave SNL for a movie career, and only a handful of those movies were any good. The ones that were were great... but then he just became a joke. Anyone ever see his talk...
I still don't see what was so wrong with Little Muppet Monsters... but I really think Dog City added that interactive something (and wackier Canadian animation over stiffer Japanese animation) that made it a far superior concept. The writing was top notch, the voice acting and puppetry...
That's why most kids on television are voiced by adults. Longevity and consistency. If an adult voices a character, the most you get is a gradual relaxation of the voice that you don't notice over time, but it's more obvious when you watch the first and latest time the character appears. Like...
Because adult swim was the first, so Nick never came up with the idea before hand, and most other children's networks don't bother.
I give the digital channel qubo a LOT of credit for its Night Owl programming block. At midnight up until 5 in the morning it airs hours of He-Man, She-ra...
Can I just say, I always HATED Nick at Nite because I always felt the Nick programming should go on past 8? Seriously... if they made Invader Zim a late night show (ala adult swim) it'd still be on today.
That's an old misconception. If you do that much drugs, you actually can't be inspired to make something crazy... you can barely be inspired to pick your head up and stop drooling.
People that make crazy things aren't on drugs... they're naturally crazy.
I said it before and I'll say it again. if we have to wait until 2014 for another Muppet Movie, I won't take any offense. We want it to get a nice release date, far from, the louder movies and well out of the death month of August. This movie should potentially get more people in theaters...
A movie is the best option they have to relaunch the franchise. It's an all or nothing gamble, but even the risks aren't quite as high as new television show. If they can make this movie pretty low budget, than even if it doesn't do to well or even does moderately well, they could profit/not...
I'm glad you can buy these on the website, but it's sheer lack of foresight that they didn't have these in Disney stores. it would definitely stand out from the same old princess figure sets that they seem to have nothing but. And that one Mickey Mouse Car Wash set... which I really want...
Like I said on another thread, the only way we'll be able to make new Fraggle Rock Puppets is if they do indeed have a major project, like a movie, to relaunch the franchise. A new show seems very unlikely, I doubt DTV movies would be that profitable enough to justify the budget of building all...
Comic strip... not comic book. Comic Book movies are, for the most part, a gamble that pays off most of the time, and they continue to be popular. I am looking forward to this year's crop, especially the third in the Batman reboot series.
No, I'm talking about comic strips. Something no one...
Think about it this way. Fraggle Rock was an HBO series. Even as far as cable channels go, it was on a premium network you had to pay extra for. While they were the only takers, it severely hurt the show's potential popularity due to its inaccessibility. Compare it with Sesame Street, a show...
It's good if it works and has a strong script. And also if Henson has total control over what the movie is like (the heads of Muppet Studios helped shape that film quite a bit, and the writers welcomed the changes, making the film better than it could have been).
It is a huge gamble it could...
Oscar win or not, after a big budget movie like John Carter, they're clearly going to try with smaller budget films when it comes to anything besides Marvel Comics and Pixar. Time will tell if Wreck it Ralph is going to be a success or not. Safe gambles are safe gambles. The next Muppet...
