I love knowing things, because then I get to twist them, in a good way, just right to make a story in my head that fits the characters even better (IMHO) than how it was written in the movie...My imagination loves to be fed 'official' details :excited:
Well, I was just saying that not everyone sees the same things..maybe classic doesn't exactly mean the same thing to everyone even if they watched them and are fans, we're all different :).
Anyway, it was mostly when you said "If the Muppets can't entertain a fan there then they never could."...
It's okay :). I mean most of my best friends are boys:o...I've just been seeing too many chipmunks that part of the romance novel fan things lately:coy:
Yes, like him!:excited: And I just can't take 'they don't make writers like that anymore' for an answer, because I know in my heart of hearts they do :excited:
Even with character growth I just can't see them becoming the R and up rated characters most fans write them as..as if nothing these matters but their hormones and characterization goes out the window:sympathy:. That is my number one pet peeve in fanfic --
Some people has always hated the muppets, but that's never stopped them before:coy:. Besides, not liking everything about them is not going to drag everything about them down IMHO..unless the fan is very mad, very rich, and very in touch with Disney -.-
To each their own I guess but they just seem like OCs with the chipmunk names to me :P.
The same as when I found an adult comic on DA with Simon and Jeanette..it just didn't seem like them :\.
Maybe..but many of the muppet thingies I remember were after Mr. Henson died..so it's not exactly him (though I miss him)..I think it is the writers I miss:sympathy:...
Argh, IAVMMCM was the one that scarred me inside:cry:. MWOO at least I could just forget about, but IAVMMCM took out my heart and stomped on it on a deeper level..I can't even say why...
I'm optimistic about new things, I just don't think the new things we seen so far are just right...
Now, now, that is taking it a bit far..if someone doesn't love those it doesn't mean they never loved, don't love, or won't love the muppets:). Let us not throw out the chicken with the bathwater:coy:
I like them fine, but I do feel they are missing a certain something in their okay-ness ^.^...
I only saw it on video not at the movies and well..with movies I've always had a soft spot for origin movies. I can forgive just about anything as long as I feel the story shows something new about the characters past and adds to them in some way:). I think this is because I have a writing mind...
I dunno, I don't think that having more love for the classics than every new thing that comes along really makes one any less of a fan..I don't think being a true fan really means we have to accept every change that's thrown at us just because 'that's the way it is':o. For example, if, say, the...
