Even if you don't have one we as readers here are pretty good at catching that.:).The only trouble is if you edit that way (with readers helping you be a 2nd or 5th pair of eyes after the fact) you can't post the edited version here because there is a time limit on editing posts :(. I know I've...
In my fraggle universe it is sort of an on again off again thingie like in the tv series, so they can be nice to fraggles one moment and using them as 'pets' or lab rats in the next (because both fraggles and gorgs IMHO have short selective memories)...So fraggle parents just play it safe and...
The sound of a giant macadamia nut sewn over in a skin of glossy red fabric rattled though the tunnels, drawing closer and closer to their outskirts as it was bounced, flung, and tail whipped by the taller of the two.
This game, like most fraggle games was a mixture of two or three ones that...
I dunno, I think it is better to talk about these things than to not to, even if some people think it is silly...After all, talk focused on just Robin is pretty rare in of itself, and to have a place to talk about all these issues and maybe share our passion for the character and why we feel...
The difference between Big Bird and Elmo and Abby though is that BB is the heart, soul, and start of SS IMHO. Characters may come and go but they will always have BB to thank for it :). My being depressed over him being overlooked isn't just because I grew up with him :wisdom: but becuase I...
Just because it is hard doesn't mean they can't try harder to make it sound like him, no one gave up on a Kermit voice (or made up reasons for a voice change), so why not Robin? I think each character should get the same effort, and that the only choices shouldn't be sounding nothing like the...
I mainly just saying that unlike how the main muppets have changed with time, if they age Robin Disney might be a bit too tempted (because it prides itself on being in touch with 'all' kids..in the world...who somehow must all act the same..and love the same live action shows -.-) to alter a lot...
That's what I meant :D. For all I care Robin could get a pink mohawk to keep up with the times..but if that comes at the cost of his character that's another matter. 80's hair Piggy was still Piggy after all...
*lol* It's okay, I guess you have to be an obsessive crazy fangirl like me *lol* ;)...his new voice still does not have anything in common with his old one to me...and to me Robin's voice is just an important to get 'right' as Kermit's. IMHO, they are like a set :). To say 'Kermit has to sound...
Yes of course he's not but that doesn't mean that the character has to suddenly have a voice that is so different that he doesn't even seem like the same character. To me, his voice carries a lot of that.
I don't think I am..Another trouble with aging him even a little is it can also leave the...
I think he is okay, but to say that he is so good that you mix him up with Mr. Henson, is taking the love a bit too far IMHO. He may be doing an okay job, I like him just fine, but Mr. Henson's work will always be better in my book :).
I like him just the way he is, it never got on my nerves as I myself, even though I am a grown up have a 'little girl' voice. Some people are just like that, and I think he is fine :). Muppet Babies and things..well I don't think they are pointless if no one ages now, as they were sort of...
I dunno, I don't think just because someone well known in the fanfic world writes it first that makes it it any real cannon that every writer afterward has to follow:coy:. I vote for Zschlomo :excited:
Maybe you just haven't heard Robin's normal voice lately? Because his old voice and the new one are nothing alike :sympathy:. As far as Kermit's voice and the others I am very forgiving, but when it comes to Robin or Gobo I just can't 'get' any voice that isn't at least somehow the same. It is...
I'm just a stubborn Robin fan that doesn't like the idea, don't mind me :). It's not reasonable or mature, but I just like him staying five or six :excited:
There's more than voices to the muppets but to me a lot of Robin's soul is his voice and when it is still off like it is it just doesn't seem like Robin to me :(
Is it the same 'I Believe In Santa Claus' that is in The Year Without a Santa Claus? Or the Dolly Parton song? Because those songs are a lot older than LTS and they might have not been able to get the rights to use it :(...
It's not really that I change my mind, there are just many layers to...
I am a diehard Robin fan and I don't like his nice voice at all, like I posted before:
Once you star aging characters it can really become a problem to, because not only does it age everything set before then, but then if the main characters age to and become too 'boring' or set in their ways...
I agree, if it was longer there would have been more muppety problem solving:)...It's just like the episode type muppet shows, something always feels like it is rushed or not given enough depth, but it is the best they can do. Besides, if they didn't rush/skip things we'd have no reason to write...
