Great review! I ordered mine, but it's too bad I'll be away when it comes.
I still can't figure out what bit the image in the lower right corner of the DVD cover is, even with the segment listing.

I don't know if this is for this season or something else, but it's worth watching!
As much as I'd like an Avenue Q reference, it's more of a Sesame parody and that wouldn't make sense in a Muppet movie. Plus, referencing them would have to involve addressing the fact that they're puppets and they're trying to make it seem like the Muppets are real beings.
Yes, "Beat the Time" is Elmo's only appearance on this DVD (you'll hear no complaining!). And the Jon & Kate parody is all Muppets, no guest stars.
And yeah, B&N screwed up the running times for both discs.
Banres and Noble has the full segment list online! Some nice inclusions (it doesn't list Miami Mice, however). We even get the unaired Jon & Kate Plus 8 parody! I wish "Honk Around the Clock" made the cut though.
I don't know if anyone brought this up yet, but all the links in the top navigation bar all go to the forum and the their respective areas of the site.
You basically summed up what I like about things I like to see from YouTube: creative, user-created series. I don't know if you've heard of things like "We Need Girlfriends" (which is like a mini-sitcom) and "New Kids on the Rock" (which has some great, cliched humor), but those kinds of things...
Yeah, I hope MC has a review up for this one. They haven't had one for almost a year. But, to be fair, we haven't really gotten a reviewable DVD in that time.
I have an HD TV and I can assure you, the video is not something cropped into widescreen. Everything looks so pristine and lovely. And with widescreen, the Muppets have room to breathe.
The clips on the DVD look clear to me.
