About the Classic Sesame Street 'What's My Part? - foot' segment, can anyone identify the dialect spoken by "Mr. Foot"? I'm guessing that it's New York-based, but is it Brooklynese, Queens, Long Island, etc.?
Also, has Jerry Nelson, who performed as "Mr. Foot", ever mentioned that he already...
Now this is something I've got to investigate, but I do have some questions.
Is the search limited only to Classic Sesame Street skits, or could it also involve other CTW/Sesame Workshop programming? I'm looking for a few old "Electric Company" skits that I'd LOVE to see again, not to mention...
A sad day, indeed.
Every weekday morning from the time I began preschool to about the first or second grade I started my day watching the good Captain. I loved the different animals that he brought to the set. I really liked Bunny Rabbit and would wish I had a puppet like him. Mr...
Mark, I hate to sound like a broken record, but would you mind dropping me an e-mail as well? I sure do appreciate it! :)

Thank you.

Back again.
Not to sound impatient or anything, but has there been any progress from anyone here on tape trading with rjschex?
Just wanting to know. Thanks!

Message to Mark the Shark:
Concerning the Noggin 'Electric Company' episodes, I would like to ask you a question about them, but should I ask it here or off-forum (since it is Sesame Street-related).
Thank you.

Today China joined the space-faring community with the launching of their Shenzhou 5 (Divine Vessel 5) capsule at 9 AM Beijing time from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre.
The 'Taikonaut' aboard, 38-year old Lt. Col. Yang Liwei, and the ship will orbit the Earth 14 times, which will take...
Gee, I haven't dressed up for Halloween in ages (!), so that should tell y'all how old I am. If not, check out my profile. :p
Anyway, this will be the last Halloween for a while that I'll see my great-nephew, as he will be going over to Germany with his Mom and stepfather (who's in the...
Thank you for the heads-up, Phillip!
My Mom and I have always liked Wayne Brady. He seems like a really nice guy, and he's got a great singing voice. :sing:
I'll get a tape ready. Thanks again. :)

Well, whatever the case may be, this has certainly generated ALOT of conversation!
Like I posted before, it's not unusual for Saturday Night Live to parody whatever floats their fancy, but I believe it would have been extremely difficult for them to acquire permission to perform 'The Rainbow...
Can they get sued for this? I'm thinking probably not, unless the Muppets' caretakers can find an incredible loophole in the First Amendment to use against SNL.
I didn't find the sketch funny, but I didn't find it over-the-top either, as SNL has already done that so many times over that just...
Happy Birthday, Phillip!
Thank you for creating Muppet Central.com for all of us Muppetphiles, Sesame Street hanger-oners, and so forth.
By the way, I noticed you didn't provide an age.
Chicken? :o
;)
Have a good one buddy, and may God bless you.

By the way, I've looked it up. The Indian snake charmer's horn that Northern 'played' is called a 'pungi'. It's not to be confused with a 'nagaswaram', as the former instrument is much smaller than the latter.
Interesting. Looks like another .mp3 file for me to look up. :sing:

People, it's an unfortunate fact, but kids today are becoming WAAAAYYY too sophisticated, thanks in part to the media, altered hormones in our food supply, etc.
But I place most of the blame on the media. I mean, I could remember as a kid sexual innuendo and stuff like that as taboo. Now...
Oh yeah. I remember that clip.
You mentioned the word "haunt". For me, it was definitely the music. Kinda heavy for a seven-year old, IMHO, but then again ALOT of things haunted me back then. :concern:
These days I'd call them products of my own imagination. *heh, heh, heh* :crazy...

So, she was on the set with Mr. Hooper.
Years later in her career, she would star in "Hanging With Mr. Cooper".
Coincidence?
Just like the Bermuda Triangle.
