That depends on the show, really.
I give Dan Schnider all the credit in the world for one thing: he knows how to write a great "word" line. It's just like on 30 Rock, he knows exactly how long it should be, what words sound funny in it and how to fuse it together.
Some random things I loved:
Gladys the Cow's name-drop
"The winning whistler waits for us in Wichita!"
The fact that the second greatest counter in the world is a Chinese calculator
The whole thing was wonderful. Even though the rest of the street residents didn't get enough attention, it was great they had virtually the entire main cast there. Eric's Scandinavian judge was hysterical.
But, from Telly's plead with the judges until the very end, it was pure beauty.
I can remember correctly, I've seen (both on and off Broadway):
The Lion King
The Pirate Queen
Avenue Q (twice)
The 39 Steps
Spamalot
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
White Christmas
Once (which I just saw on Thursday)
Ryan is doing Elmo in the WOTD material, plus select inserts they filmed while they were in LA this past summer.
Kevin is doing Elmo everywhere else in the show. Some of the inserts and episodes it seems (Flower Show, Mi Amiguita Rosita and the Count ep.) were taped after Kevin's departure...
To answer SSLFan's question (spoilers):
Yes, that was Jerry's voice at the end. Was it an archival soundbite? I don't know, and frankly I don't wanna know; it'll spoil the magic of the moment for me.
The new ETM had a lot of songs in it, and felt longer than usual. Not that that's bad; the songs were all great.
Also, the new stuff from Jerry's tribute episode (except for Homelamb) are up on SS.org, but alas, the videos aren't working. YET....
