The site is rather Flash-light, as Luke has suggested. Very few sites these days are designed for 28k modems, but I tried to be mindful and put in a loader for those with slower connection speeds.
It was tested at several connection speeds and though I wish it could be optimized more, it...
The content is rather slick and formatted around the content bar. Much of it was designed on my 1600 x 1024 widescreen and it looks fine to me. The content is 800 pixels wide and limiting the width offers a designer more control over the layout. The Internet is still in its infancy and there are...
Sounds like you could be having trouble with the intro - some mac users have reported getting a black screen. For now check out this page: http://www.muppetcentral.com/frontpage.shtml Check and see if that works for you.
The intro will be up for one more day, but the Flash is here to stay...
CG, animatronics, traditional puppetry and old-fashioned special FX all have their place. The problem, as I see it right now, is that CG FX are being used as a fad rather than a necessary tool. I think there will be a resurgence of more traditional FX and solid filmmaking (not revolving around...
All the backgrounds were constructed and painted primarily in Photoshop. Some material is scanned but most (95%) of it is my creation - especially proud of the Sesame Street menu.
Dear Muppet Central Members-
Work began on the site last winter and I am proud of the new look of Muppet Central. Phillip and I have been very careful to maintain the spirit of the site we know and love while bringing it up to date. We were also mindful to keep the feel of it very familiar for...
Congradulations Michele! Muppet plushes are hard to come by but there are some on PB Toys and FEO Schwartz websites that are quite good! You may need to wait a couple of years for that, but who knows. Maybe keeping a Kermit on the shelf would be a cool thing!
The only way someone else is gonna get my figures is in 70 years or so when I'm dead and gone (morbid thought) so I don't really care about the packaging. To some - keepting them in the blister brings them joy. However I take Palisades' slogan literally - I'm playin' with them!
Heck, I opened my Teeth and Beaker exclusives. I only have one Inivisble Beaker but he was in a baggy and I would never sell him. I have 2 Vanishing Cream Beakers so one will stay MIB. I actually enjoy the Teeth exclusive more than the standard figure. I like it when the folks at Palisades get a...
The frogboy breaks his silence
I have had several problems with UPS from destroyed, mangled and lost packages to them leaving slips when I have made it a point to be home. The US Post Office is actually much better and reasonably priced. Never had a problem with them. UPS is rather frowned upon...
I know we're supposed to play with these - and I do, believe me - probably more than a grown guy should! LOL! But I won't likely be using the cannon much for fear I will scratch up the poor guy when he flys across the room.
Skeeter Muppet
There will be no Muppet Newsman set. The desk will come on a card. I'm not sure what else he will come with but I am sure there will be enough accessories from other characters by that time to drop on his head.;)
