Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

60 Minutes Australia shows some BTS of a new human character being added for season 50 (the little shout-out to the series premiere makes me think this will be the season premiere):

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

I think it's pretty obvious it would be a random assortment of episodes and not the first 381. For one thing, again, every episode has been digital for years now and would naturally be the first and easiest materials to donate. Second, they'd also probably go with notable episodes first (the...

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4914 - Sesame Friendship

It was fine, I guess. Felt like the conflict was more focused on Zoe and Rosita than BB and Snuff. I also think that old "You can say that again" joke works good with someone like Rosita, not native to America, so it's not her being dumb, just not familiar with the colloquialism. Not sure why...

    Little things we've noticed

That bit is from season 16.

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

I'd assume it's the latter; the last decade or so is already digital and easy to transfer somewhere.

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

They're not remastering them, I don't think. Just digitally converting them straight from whatever video source they had.

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

Not sure if this was in the original article, but another article about this says that some 381 episodes will be viewable in about six weeks from now.

Classic Sesame Street clips on YouTube

Or, something to copy the VHS to DVD.

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

Just to clarify: These will be viewable ONLY at WGBH in Boston (by appointment only) and the Library of Congress (which isn't restricted, but it's advised to give them two weeks advance notice of a visit). This means they're not going to be on some website you can access anywhere and view...

    Little things we've noticed

It says the lead vocals are done by her, not exclusively the vocals and nothing else.

    Little things we've noticed

Nah, that's distinctly Louise doing the puppetry.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

Unless I missed something, he's only done Julie's Greenroom, which looks like a one-and-done thing.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

Fran is retired; she doesn't have to do anything if she doesn't want to. Kevin: I don't see them reaching out to him. Joey: he's moved onto other things (Kidding on Showtime, he's been writing a musical too).

Brown Johnson: Ernie and Bert ARE Gay (if you want)

My take is that if some people want to think of them that way, fine. The cannon itself of SS doesn't really suggest they are a couple, though, but whatever. It's things like that petition a few years ago to make them come out/get married that I don't like.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4913 - The Big Pretend Band

Can't complain having Ernie and Bert as the focus of an episode. Weird that Herry would be in a band with a bunch of adults. Nice to see Mama Bear; she kinda disappeared for awhile. The bit with Questlove is quality Grover material. Interesting having a celebrity pop up during the Foodie Truck...

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

Super Grover was the focal point of an episode just last season ("M is for Missing"). Oh how soon we forget.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

I've been wondering when they'd get around to it. Funnily enough, I don't think they'd have to change Hooper's much; they never changed it to resemble the version from seasons 30 to 45.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

I'd say probably because's he vampire-eqsue and that would be scary for kids. Except now you have things like Vampirina, so it's a moot point.
