Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

I mean, just contrast the Muppets with Marvel; they know what they're going to be making a decade from now. We barely know when "Muppets Now" is gonna drop. I'm not gonna say Disney isn't doing anything since the ABC series fumbled, because we've gotten some good stuff since (mainly live...

Sesame Street Special "Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration"

Enough with the "recast Murray" pipe dream. They're not gonna do that. Mainly because his role is inessential to the show now; there's no need for a "host," and they're going to stick with Abby-Cookie-Elmo format segments, not ones with non-central characters.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

One user has sent out emails to various PBS stations; we have a sandbox page tracking responses. So far, it's mostly "nos."

    Remembering Caroll Spinney (December 26, 1933-December 8, 2019)

They'll no doubt have a private service for friends and family. I do not expect anything the likes of what was done with Jim's memorial. A MOMI thing like what they did with Jerry seems likely, though (depending on when Craig Shehim, who has his own health setback, is feeling game to organize...

Your Thoughts: Christmas at Muppet Central

Listening now. I just heard CM's "12 Days of Christmas" and it seemed to start all over for a few seconds. I don't know if this is an issue with my browser, the TuneIn player, or maybe the music file itself?

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5006 - Game Day on Sesame Street

I was disappointed that they were touting a Two-Headed Monster appearance right in front of us and never did anything with it. Lame.

Classic Sesame Street clips on YouTube

The screened this particular scene at the MOMI event last month. The explanation was that they didn't test it with kids until after it aired and they found the hospital thing too humorous, and wound up muddling the message. So I guess the whole episode was pulled after that. But the street scene...

    Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5005 - A Dog and a Song

Well paint me purple and call me Barney. What a...random character to include.

    Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5005 - A Dog and a Song

Closed Captioning. I don't know why they didn't do a bunch of song remakes when the show jumped to HD. I can't see them doing too many now 'cause the format doesn't allow for a variety of stuff. I'd like to see some new versions of classic songs without celebrities, though.

    Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5005 - A Dog and a Song

No, she was just a one-time thing. I feel like the design is based on Bert's cousin Bertina from the Great Adventures series: Same hairstyle and voice. The CC doesn't give the names, unfortunately.

Oh shoot, they did that? I tuned off by EW.

    Questions about anything

Well, David wasn't around for FTB and yet Hooper's was the main rendezvous point.

    Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5005 - A Dog and a Song

There's not much worth commenting on. This was like, what, just over seven minutes of story? That new version of "Sing" wasn't so bad. Who was the girl with Bert? A sister we don't know about? Bertina from the claymation shorts?

Official: Elmo’s Staying Up Late Show coming to HBO Max on May 27, 2020

I'm pretty sure they've been shooting it this last week or so.

Well it looks like we may know who may show up in the Kennedy Center Honors when Sesame Street receives the award...

Other celebrities...? Just look up the tributes to Mel Brooks or Shirley McLaine.

Well it looks like we may know who may show up in the Kennedy Center Honors when Sesame Street receives the award...

From what I've seen, it's not usual that the honoree actually performs in the show. But the main Sesame Muppets apparently did something,

    Remembering Caroll Spinney (December 26, 1933-December 8, 2019)

No doubt something related to his Dystonia, but the family is keeping the details private for the time being.
