All the titles for the Season 40 episodes can be found at the Episode Guide section of sesamestreet.org (man, i wish they'd update that with stuff older than season 35!)
Most areas did play a new episode today - #4189 Baby Bear Is Afraid of Bees. Of course each PBS station is different so sounds like that was a local quirk with yours.
Keep in mind though that regardless of what time of the year the season debuted, since there are only 26 episodes a season...
Since my local station started reformatting widescreen shows to fill the screen this year (which doesn't make sense for a show like Sesame...if part of its goal is letter recognition and reading, it doesn't help the intended viewer when parts of a word gets chopped off to the side), i didn't...
Haven't watched today's episode yet, so these will all reflect my thoughts on the premiere...
First of all, those of you who missed today's episode (or parts of it), don't worry. Remember SST only does 26 episodes a season now and it won't be long before this episode is reran...and...
Have only got through disc 1 so far, but some responses to what's been posted...
I keep seeing people mentioning "this clip should have been called "so-and-so" but keep in mind they're more or less going with the official titles of the clips (which i really like - up until discs like this...
This was also Fran Brill's idea that she pitched to the producers as opposed to a "from the top down" thing. Besides what was mentioned, she liked how Zoe looked in it in a sketch where they put her in a tutu for a one-time thing and she felt it would be a hook for her character she could go...
Well, i do have the TV Guide Network and taped it - but here's the rub: in my area InFANity, Are You Smarter Than..., and Food Network Challenge (which i missed the first time) ALL came on at the same time so i could only tape one so i went with InFANity. If anyone who doesn't get cable (or...
I never really cared for the whole wings-aspect of Rosita since before they explained it on the show, they always looked like really poor "live-hand" gloves that were either not disguised well and/or often too exposed. Even after they mentioned they were actually wings, it still looked more to...
Yeah, very cool part about Teeth's design; that his shades also double as eyelids - and his bandmate Floyd's shades also blink like eyes! All the EM have really uniquely designed eyes when it comes down to it - already mentioned Teeth/Floyd (and before Floyd's shades blinked in 1977, they...
To the left of the Google logo is a full-bodied photo of The Count pointing and smiling with delight at the logo which has been completely replaced with Muppet Numbers each with eyes (and rods on the bottom!): 600813 (the three is upside down)
OMG - i LOVE this! This would be the last one before the grand finale and they definately saved the best single-character one for last - great concept and i especially love how the numbers have the traditional "rods" implied under them!
Oh, i don't know about that - there's quite a few other places a character might come from besides Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, or the Muppet Show...(just look at the last puzzle for example...)
Hard to say - certainly not a biggie but not super-duper obscure either. Only appeared once, but seemed to be a "fan favorite" - i'd say most fans would immediately know the answer when it's revealed as opposed to thinking "Who?"
(Sorry for the double post - tried to edit and goofed)
