True, but they definitely didn't look as bad/awkward as they did on that terrible Munsters Today show from back in the 80s.
... Bewitched, Petticoat Junction, I Dream of Jeannie, My Three Sons, etc.
And then there were the shows that were never filmed in color, but were colorized in some reruns. Animation is definitely much easier to color than live action, and cartoons almost always look more natural when they do...
