Luke,
RE: Sherri and Terri....
I bought the twins, and LOVE them! I mean, two figures for 4.99--can't beat that. I've also decided to just collect the kids of Springfield though, so that may have some bearing on my love of the purple-haired freaks.

I like the bigness of Miss Piggy for a few reasons:
1) I like that she's comfortable with her size--it's not like she's on a yo-yo diet or eating at Subway all the time.
2) She's beautiful, and thinks she's beautiful, and even Floyd has to admit she's got style.
3) She sticks up for...
As a connoisseur of Piggy's, I can confirm she's at her tastiest in The Great Muppet Caper...best sculpt, best figure, best hair....all other Pigs pale before her. Then she chunked up a bit in the face in Muppets Take Manhattan, and hasn't been quite the same ever since. She's still the...
They've Arrived in Salt Lake City--
They had all of the figures at the TRU in Sugarhouse--they've probably got them in West Valley and Murray as well, so if you're in the 'hood, pick them up---these are BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I know this is blasphemous to those of us who are film fans/critics, but there ARE a lot of people out there who HATE widescreen presentation. My own family includes several members who "can't stand those black bars at the bottom and top of the screen," and who would much rather watch movies in...
I would rather have more classic characters before Pepe...if it gets to the point that we're looking at the extreme background characters, then sure, bring in Pepe and maybe some others...but I sure don't think he should be made before Statler, Waldorf, Rizzo, etc.

I personally think it's funny, but with the warning that it SHOULDN'T be shown to young children...a lot of the parodies out there are either very violent or have enough adult content that it could seriously frighten and/or disturb young pups. So that's the warning. Other than that, if every...
Jamie's post just made me want to start a new thread, because I'm wondering what y'all think about this: who would you consider to be the main/most important Muppets, and in what order? Include no more than ten, and do it in descending order from Greatest to Least Important. Here's my list...
Muppets From Space definitely had a few things going for it, and had some strong moments...but the few strong moments didn't carry the movie through the rest of the very uneven spots. I loved the boarding house scenes, and there are some wonderful character moments, but without original music...
I really liked the live-action footage--in my eyes it showed kids how their own experiences could integrate with things they were seeing on television and movies--how it could enhance their imagination and playtime, not just be something they sit down and passively observe.
It also made Gonzo...
I would really encourage people NOT to get the figures through eBay that are being pre-sold...I've heard about way too many people getting burned that way, and you'll probably have the following problems:
1) paying a LOT more than you would have if you had been patient and waited...
2)...
Interesting news about the Stage Playset...I think that by making Statler and Waldorf carded figures, you'll sell a LOT of them...I know so many people that would shell out 10-20 bucks for the two of them who wouldn't pay the premium rate for the entire stage playset...Statler and Waldorf are...
...they also have Betty Lou's picture posted with the name Prairie Dawn...a common enough mistake, and kudos to the incredibly disturbing site for even including the girls in the list--funny that the Two Headed Monster is top of the list to be bumped off....Oscar is the last. Weird, disturbing...
Jamie,
Just wanted to say I agree with your order of favoritism in the 6 Muppet flicks, although I do usually rank TGMC above TMM, just because it's so much FUN to watch!
Regarding it being "pretty weak" for the Muppets to make movies based on classic books, I think it's completely...
I just wanted to say that I also miss the Kermit/Fozzie friendship--that may be the hardest loss to BEAR (get it? wocka wocka!) that's come over the last decade or so. Fozzie has sort of become a peripheral character, and it's to the point now where Rizzo and even Pepe and Bobo  have more...
Byron, you freaky deaky....
The other day, oh, about the 29th, I'd say, I thought, "Miles is ten days old!" And then I thought, "there was something important happening on the 29th." Then I thought, "well, I'll just eat these muffins and contemplate how glad I am that my son wasn't born on...
Megan,
Something to look for would be the hardcover book "Muppets Muppets Muppets!" on eBay or someplace else...it's basically a collection of a bunch of articles and stories from Muppet Magazine--sort of a best of collection. It's hardcover, and it turns up pretty often.
Good luck...
I....can't THINK of any....then again, because most of the Muppets don't even have TEETH, it would be hard for them to have braces. I can see salesman Grover trying to sell some to Kermit...."perfect for your orthodontic needs!"
But again, no teeth.
Quinnnnnnnnnn
I love Fozzie, and I'm glad he keeps trying....but sometimes I just want to give him a big hug. A bear hug. And then I realize he's mostly naked, and I get uncomfortable, and slowly back away.
